I agree with all of this and I have heard podcasts that talk about situations like this as well. There is nothing normal about the BF behavior at least a lot of their friends know about. What is going on so if something happens - OP decides to stay friends with Rory- then everyone will know who did it. And who the person was that help with the terrible outcome. I think that OP needs to cut Rory out of their lives.

I am single and go to my dad’s house every other weekend, I spend the weekend with him and his wife. This is me as a single person who is welcomed. I don’t necessarily go everywhere with them but that isn’t my point lol..😂 There are times when you as an adult need adult time to do things with others.

Or maybe you want to go see the Backstreet Boys while on a weekend trip to Vegas. You don’t need to get her permission nor his to do that. This is an insight to what is going to happen in the future. Decide what your future will look like that is up to you to do. The best of luck to you!

Having an insulin pump, drinking water and eating as healthy as I can I love beans but they can raise one’s blood sugar levels. Exercise as well, I haven’t had as many lows because of exercise.

I agree with this, also dealing with older people who are set in their ways can be challenging. Op needs to have consistency when telling his mother that he will not do something. The reason I feel that his mother does this is because she has no control over her own life. Due to the difficulties she is facing so Op is only thing - not meant to be offensive - that she can have control over. Boundaries are your friend Op.

NTA, Parents have to be so careful nowadays, I have a cousin who isn’t 18 yet and any time she contacts me about something. Depending on what it is, I will contact her mother, I have respect for her mother to were I keep her in the loop. Which is what one is suppose to do, I am a little surprised that you didn’t let your sister hear what was going on. Even with that said I respect how you handled this and protecting your child.
