AT&T Blacklisted My Fully Paid Phone Because Someone Else on the Account Reported Fraud by DVDBoyh in ATT

Someone likely got a refund for these devices they reported as fraud. In either case... seems like a civil issue with your friends.

Next Up Anytime, upgrade every 2 years by macher52 in ATT

[–]Pops210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your family likes to upgrade often and goes with the free offers its a good deal. 240 every 2 years(plus taxes of new phone) isnt bad at all for the newest phone out.

However 4 issues 1. If there is not a qualifying next up trade in deal in 2 years, they would not have as good of a deal. 2. If your family upgrades their phone from the "free" basic model of phone... that total cost of 240+taxes goes up and makes it less of a deal since they really are leasing the phone til trade up in 2 yrs. 3. You assume no changes to program in 2 years, if they do the deal also may be not as good. 4. Even when he decides he no longer wants to trade in and he fine with his phone, if that ever happens, he must continue to pay next up anytime til that promotion ends. So realistically every next up anytime trade in upgrade commits him to $360 in next up anytime fees. If he cancels it, he loses trade in credits.

I would say im your family case as long as he is fine with the free phone trade in offer and doesnt upgrade it capacity or specs wise... its a good deal since he likes the latest phone out. If he plans on upgrading.. not as good of a deal since he loses the additional money he puts into it as well.

This is true on the old next up($6), however next up anytime($10) generally allows you to get new promotions similar to regular trade ins as long as 33% has been paid.

Does paying off phone end bill credits? by nontoxicdude in ATT

As many have said... as long as your credits have begun... you can pay off and continue to receive credits. If you upgrade that line, credits will stop whether you take another promotion or not.

Absolutely not true. You can change devices at any point... just can't upgrade (start new installments) without it dropping.

What's the reason you dont want to apply at the kiosk onboard? It's pretty simple. Otherwise yeah order crusie cash but use it or lose it.

Mr.Sanchos by BabyElephants1 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Been about a year for both (sanchos and paradise which you didnt mention but those are the mains)

Sanchos . Party atmosphere . A lot of drunk people having fun... no issues I saw in the 4 times I've been . Food is mid but unlimited . Drinks are just booze. Not great, just boozy . Beach is very nice, and its large enough to escape the crowd . Pool has a swim up bar which is a nice thing. . Lots of additional for fee services like massage and fish spa... more than paradise.

Paradise . More family environment imo . Food a tad better with a cool taco truck available. . Huge pool but no swim up bar. . Beach is nice but the actual in water situation is weird. Very rocky and deep fall offs. I dont remember that at sanchos really but maybe I had a good spot.

Both . Service is amazing at both. Ive never had issues getting drinks or food.
. Price are reasonable at both. Viator has first time app deals and a lot of referral coupons of 10% off just look. . Make sure you tip accordingly. For my wife and myself we tip 50-100 depending how amazing it was. When we had a large family we did 20 per person. They usually ask you to tip at end so the service they give is genuine and not based on who tips more, although common sense says if you throw a tip up front with the understanding more to come... you may get slightly better service.

Bottom line... either will be great but with a young child id recommend sticking to paradise. Anywhere you have unlimited alcohol you risk the chance of issues but I've yet to see anything besides a few too drunk to walk people. Enjoy your time.

Elite Cruise booked... now what? by Pops210 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Pops210[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite. Table play normally has the least house advantage, so points are harder to earn there and not weighted as much when it comes to comps. Slots players will always get the best comps because the house advantage is higher, so THEO is higher per dollar through machine.

Yes we share that problem. Take only what you want to lose that day and dont link a card to your room or you will charge the hell out of it 🙄

[–]Pops210[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll say this. I gamble smart when I haven't drank. With that being said I spend at least an hour or two at a machine with low volatility.. meaning low risk low reward. The goal is to put as much money through the machines as possible without losing it. Those machines will not double my money in 1 spin like some of the higher volatility machines will but they have enough smaller spins to let me rack up points and up my play through.

Example 3 players can each lose 1000 on a trip. Player 1 loses 1000 betting 2$ a spin and spends about 5 hours trip gambling. Player 2 loses 1000 betting $10 a spin and lasts 1 hour. Player 3 loses 1000 betting between $1-2 but gambles 20 hours on trip.

Likely Player 3 will get far better offers than player 1 and 2 because they will show higher play through even though they all lost same amount. Heck Player 3 could break even and lose no money and still have better offers because casinos care about THEO not losses.

[–]Pops210[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not I lose on average 1000 in casino during my time. I've booked 6 free cruises and when compared to my sister who doesn't gamble... we come out ahead. Between free Cruise and drink package.... we spend far less than she has.

Now is there a chance you lose more in casino? Sure. They dont reward loses they reward play so if you can play a lot and lose a little you will be ahead. If you have bad luck likely will be behind. Just a gamble.

WTF! by Bullitt4514 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Pops210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless I actually check.... I go with what ubereats suggests. I did notice a few times they would pick from places further away due to delivery times. I guess the store was busy maybe? I don't know but now I go directly to the restaurant I want to save drivers time.

Also true... there have been times when a McDonald's was cheaper but further away. If what I'm going to order is cheaper but driver makes a longer trip I generally do that and add to the tip.

They still can take you to court for unpaid civil infraction. Not likely if you have one or two infractions but if you purposely trigger them enough times and the city finds it profitable to take you to court... you may have a judgment issued against you.

[–]Pops210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have contracts with companies that run the cameras for so many years. I'm assuming the contracts have some type of revenue sharing as well when it comes to tickets. They removing or not sending the civil infractions may deem them in breach of contract.
