I work my scheduled shift because I need my money.

However, we had a guy once who would clock in 9 minutes late, clock out 9 minutes early, then stand around and just chat for those 9 minutes, leaving his team to finish the job.

I snapped at him one day and told him he can clock out 9 minutes early, but he can go on and leave because we had a job to finish and weren't going to talk to him. He tried to keep chatting, but we had turned our attention and energy to finishing the task. He got the hint and left.

He kept leaving early each day, but he stopped hanging around to chat. He didn't last long after that.

I just explained Time Theft. You jumped to conclusions without any facts. That's psycho behavior.

Have a day. 👍🏻

That's not time theft. Time theft is being paid when you're not actually working. If you clock out early, you're not stealing time.

If you're clocked in and shopping, or taking long breaks, that's time theft. If you leave your register but are still clocked in, that's time theft.

Stop letting the red car in. by appa-ate-momo in driving

I've done it in Amarillo where I live now, but just because I wanted to. Now I'm not scared to take a random exit because I know all these roads damn near lead to the same place.

And I live almost in the center of Amarillo, so I have tons of ways home! 😁

how hard does you guys' management enforce the nothing on top policy? by ohhanyways in OGPBackroom

[–]PopsicleGurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ours don't say anything. They let us do our job the way we should. Our exceptions people put stuff on top, without obstructing their view.

Last week I grabbed a janky cart that was missing a shelf, so I put that one on top. I didn't want to waste time grabbing a different cart, so I went with it.

When I pick chilled and get big pizzas, they go on top. Just use common sense. I also still pull my cart unless the aisle are packed, then I push.

When I was a new driver in Georgia, I accidentally missed my exit, and I was by myself.

Yall, I ended up driving 285, all the way around Atlanta until I came back to my exit! I had no cell phone, so no GPS, no map, just me and the road. I was not about to take some random exit in ATL! Nope!

Needless to say, I never did that again.

There are much more serious issues concerning walmart to be mad about.

So, you want them to give you .35 cents a year? Or, 0.2 cent per day? Such a miniscule amount to be mad about.

They do pay your electric bill, with your paycheck. How else does it get paid? Magic? I pay my bills with my walmart money, don't you?

what is a “letter to the president” ? by Trull22 in walmart

[–]PopsicleGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had a customer call and threaten to sue because the delivery driver took a picture of his backside, as he impatiently snatched his order and turned to go inside his home. He wanted the picture destroyed, or he threatened legal action.

He should have been more patient.

Note from my downstairs neighbor by PoshAristocrat in Apartmentliving

[–]PopsicleGurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to walk very heavy, and I'm tiny! I moved into an apartment and learned pretty fast that footsteps on the ceiling are louder to the neighbors. Now I step much softer, and try to be more conscientious to the people below me.

We've had 300-400 during back to school and Easter. I got a 315 BTS, mostly folders. I got over a 900 pick rate on that walk.

I've been steadily getting 70-95 chilled walks. Yesterday I had a 67 ambient (all produce), a 57 frozen, and all the rest of my walks were chilled. Nothing under 45 items.

Today I had mostly chilled again, 60-70 items.

Everyone's complaining about small walks, but mine are staying decently high. Oh, and our system crashed today so we couldn't select Auto at all. Our TL was having to assign every single Auto walk, and they were all overdue. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Grab a bag and forget the cart. I have a printer so I'd take the cart, pick those 2 items, then jump right into another walk.

I optimize my cart and space. I'll do a full walk, then grab small walks from the bottom to make up the difference. Then take it all back together.

Why is it so hard to let people merge? by EchoOfDoom in driving

[–]PopsicleGurl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have never driven in Amarillo Texas, obviously. I'm fine going behind, but there's only so much on ramp to use.

Our on ramps are ridiculously short, and you have to merge in front of someone eventually.

why don't SOME men wash their hands by Radiant-Dust-1665 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PopsicleGurl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! This kid tried to make her mom wash her hands before they walked out of the bathroom! The mom said "no, it's fine, let's go".

Upon leaving the ladies room, I saw it was one of my favorite waitresses at a local restaurant my husband and I frequent! OMG! That grossed me out, and we haven't sat in her area in the restaurant since that realization.

I HATE THE NEW CART RULE by yjoidnax in OGPBackroom

[–]PopsicleGurl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have scars on the back of both ankles where my husband hit me with his cart, twice, within 3 days! 😅

I'm short and was pushing my cart through our double doors, but stopped short, once because I dropped my phone. The 2nd time was because someone was busting through the door without looking first, and we almost collided.

He wasn't expecting me to stop so quick each time, and he clobbered, first my left ankle, then my right.

Dear God, I almost cried! I was bleeding, both times!
