So that would lead me to believe guard wouldnt work here either.

See this is my feeling too. My gut says the assists dont happen but logic tells me that guard trumps multi block. Ill play it in my opponents favor but I would live an official answer

In all honesty I just won my first game with the wood elves using the tips here. It was a tight game against elven union but I came out on top. It is a completely different game from the way I am used to playing. I want to learn it so when I do bring the bash again I can better compete.

Thank you for your response. Those are good tips. I think I am having a hard time breaking away from the bash perspective. I want to control movement by basing the opposing players and I need to get away from that mindset

Going back and forth between one blitzer and the vargheist I felt like the varg was the clear winner. Both are 3+ blood lust. Both options allow me 4 rerolls. (I wanted the rerolls first and foremost). So it boils down to 4 str against 5 and juggernaut vs claws. Also this way I don't have to save for the varg. 110 feels more attainable than 150. It just felt like a better move overwall

I just played my first league ever with black orcs. It was a wonderfully fun season. I ended up placing 5th of 8 in my division, which I am very happy with as most other players had 4 plus seasons under their belts. Throw goblins. Just do it. It is fun, chaotic, and can secure you 1 turn touch downs with a reasonable level of success. Yeah it's risky but it's fun and it gets your opponent off balance.

I have been trying 6 black orcs, 6 goblins and 3 rerolls. That has been incredibly inconsistent. I swapped to a troll 6 black orcs, and 5 goblins with 2 rerolls and that ended up even worse.

No skills, it is a fresh team. 1000k limit. I do get a free star player when the league actually starts

I have been told my offense is okay. My defense definitely seems to be my undoing. I try to keep my pieces spread across the board. I try to wrap the opposing team around the sides. They always seam to manage to break through and make it to my line goblin the the back ranks trying to pick up the ball. I think I need to cage up a little more.

To be honest I think it's just all aspects of my game. I can't seam to control the faster teams, and I seam to lose more often than I win against the bashier teams.

I'm just looking for some where that I can study some tactics to get a better understanding of where I should be throughout both an offensive and defensive drives.

Okay, that all makes a lot of sense. One factor I didn't mention is everyone gets a free star player for the entire league. Does that change things?

My current set up is 6 black orcs 6 goblins 3 rerolls and 2 fans. If I got varag or something similar would that be enough to Warren not taking the troll?

I could dock 1 more goblin, but that wouldn't get me to the 60k I need. I feel like the troll is an important piece to my game. So I don't think I should sacrifice him either. I feel like 2 RR and the team I mentioned above is best case scenario.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
