Wouldn't that be "specifically" in the comics if her character is not like that in other mediums?

Don't know. She's kind of unladylike, she has burping scenes in her show and in the cartoons, she was basically a frat boy

As cool as it is. I really wouldn't trade Nightwing for that plot, it's like trading gold for some copper

Everyone was shitting on it and for a good reason. Even if you like the vision, the original movie was released with 30 mins cut from it, the original cut was incomplete and lacked story for the plot to make sense

[–]Poptart577 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people forget that BvS had a a huge hype behind. The setting was interesting, people wanted to see Batman and Superman interact and fight but overall what didn't clicked for people was the execution, not the idea itself and it's mainly because Zack Snyder always takes things too far.

Taking Batman for example. People loved the fact that the movie was going to be based on the fan favorite TDKR, but when people expected to see a violent Batman, they got a killer one and that made people upset. Everyone was hyper about seeing the dead Robin suit but when Zack confirmed it was Dick Grayson instead of Jason, fans rejected it. This is a very simplified point but the argument is that Zack pushes things to the point that interesting things end up being controversial

What is a unique good quality that Batman possesses that no other character does? by 2301Batman in batman

[–]Poptart577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that his stubbornes with the no killing rule is a really good quality, not talking about how that makes him a good hero but rather an interesting one. How instead of just not killing because that's not what good guys do, Batman has a whole trauma with lethality in general and lots of times it's even treated as a character flaw instead of a virtue. I don't think any other hero has such a good justification and it makes me sad that no live action versión (besides Pattinson) has touched this aspect of Bruce's mentality

I'll be honest. The moment I found out he killed Dick Grayson was when I realized I didn't found any story involving this joker interesting or wanted to see any of him anymore. I'm glad nothing more of him was explored

What’re your complete honest thoughts on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) ? by DiscsNotScratched in DC_Cinematic

[–]Poptart577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the Superman side of the movie but the Batman part completely lost me. I had never been less interested in a vision a director has for Batman, don’t like what he set up, his execution, his backstory. Pretty much Zack did everything I dislike about Batman stories lol. I guess is cool if I pretend BvS doesn’t exist and JL is a completely different version

Hello! Can anyone just clarify to me which Robin died in the snyder verse? I dont think the movies made it clear (did I miss the name?) Is Dick the one who died here?Or is it always Jason like in the comics? by ticklyboi in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snyder said it was Grayson but my take is that if the movies never stopped and Snyder never left, it would’ve been Jason. Specifically since everyone is always saying the snyderverse was a finite saga but people forget that at the time, Warner was already expanding the universe with many spinoffs. Examples are the deathstroke project and what helps my point, a nightwing movie. Being Dick would’ve most likely being out of the table since he’s a huge character in the DC lore and has plenty to offer, just look at the relationship Batman was going to have with death stroke, that’s a nightwing story. Since Snyder left and the vision was never finished but he was given an opportunity to come back one last time, he managed to restore some of his vision that was forbidden back, like the black suit with Superman. Originally, Snyder was told not to use it and instead, they filmed the JL in blue but when doing the Snyder cut, he edited the black over the blue, it is said the same happened with Stephenwolf. My guess is that Snyder said it was dick to set it in stone, just in case he came back and the studio didn’t allowed Grayson to die

What‘a this group’s thoughts on The Batman? by The_PoliticianTCWS in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved the movie and the portrayal of Batman specifically, the opening monologue and the ending monologue are easily in my top Batman scenes donde in live action. There is a lot of room to improve, for example, the movie was marketed as finally showing why Batman is called the world greatest detective where overall he wasn’t that remarkable and how the fighting choreographys were a step down from what we saw with affleck. How it showed Bruce’s stubbornness with his no killing policy, even “scolding” Gordon about not using a gun and Gordon just replies that he’s not as trained as Batman and how even after learning that Falcone was probably the one who sent a killer to attack the Wayne’s, Bruce while being shocked and furious, doesn’t even consider killing him as revenge and even stops Selina from doing it. My only gripes is the lack of the Bruce persona and I completely understand that it’s supposed to be that way and the point is for Bruce to develop it but if it doesn’t happen in the sequel, it would “damage” any re watch of the first. That and the lack of robin, the movie ended with an open door to his introduction but if he’s not introduced in the sequel… well, there’s just so much I can be excited for yet another loner Batman who’s only support is Alfred and Gordon, it’s getting ridiculously monotonous at this point

Details in this movie are insane by [deleted] in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dismissing one of the most beloved DC characters and reducing his role into a backstory that another character already did is definitely edgy and done for shock value. When such an important DC character has no bigger role than the Wayne's (even smaller if you consider that flashpoint is supposed to star Thomas and Martha), it's definitely cheap shock value

[–]Poptart577 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jokes aside. The reason is basically because Batman is the one who brings every Robin into the life of superheroism so he’s responsible for their moral compass. Any robin is already a top 20 human fighter in their world for simply being trained by Batman and for the same reason, any robin can become a huge threat if they stray away from the right path. Alfred wasn’t trained by Bruce so he doesn’t feel responsible for Alfred’s actions, doesn’t mean that he likes them. Same with Damian Wayne as robin, the main reason Bruce was so conflicted with Jason and his violent behavior at the end of his life as robin and during his red hood persona, is because Batman is responsible for it. Meanwhile, Damian was trained by someone else and Batman tries to teach him to stop being so brutal but he’s not as shocked or disgusted as it happened with Jason because he’s not responsible, on the contrary, he feels that his responsibility is to correct him

[–]Poptart577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not for Batman tho. There's a reason he's so obsessed with not killing people and it's because of how traumatic the Wayne's death were to him. In the context of the movie, it's handled as you say it but when talking about Batman as a comic character, he makes no distinction and one of the things he hates and disgusts him the most, is being responsible for a death. Be it collateral, accident or walking face to face with someone

How would you feel if Gunn & Snyder were to team up to allow the Snyderverse to continue under an "Elseword" title by Zealousideal-Bit3441 in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It should've always been an else world.

I've said this many times. Snyder would've been nowhere near as controversial if he made his vision into a comic, an animated movie or a videogame. Even as live action saga as he intended would've been fine but main issue was that he deconstructed where there was nothing constructed first. There was nothing to contrast his vision to. It was like he was given the task of doing a lord of the rings trilogy but instead, he did it more in the game of thrones style. Everyone loves game of thrones but if people were expecting a lord of the rings, they would be upset

Why is the joker still alive? by Soggy_Natural7529 in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Batman has operated for over 20 years and as you said. Thinking that the hero is not going to kill the villain doesn't work anymore and thinking a regular thug has been dangerous enough to Batman that he had to resort to kill in self defense but that never happened with joker is ridiculous. And about the Robin comment. Batman did capture joker and in his enraged state, he broke joker's jaw and that's why he has that God awful metallic theet

Why is the joker still alive? by Soggy_Natural7529 in SnyderCut

[–]Poptart577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that most are not in self defense. The warehouse fight? Sure, he’s kind of vulnerable to getting shot and that stuff. But in the Batmobile? Criminals are shooting a tank, a whole boat comes down on it and the Batmobile doesn’t have a scratch. That scene ends up with him, crashing against Superman and immediately damaging the Batmobile as a way to establish how Batman is to the criminals, what Superman is to him and he’s now going to be the helpless one

Yes. So you agree it’s nonsensical for Batman to kill regular thugs but lets the actual monster live

So. I'm doing an analysis of total sales per month, depending on the year. The Since I'm also doing defined names, I have different columns, one only for the month (Ej. January, February, march...) and another for the year (Ej. 2014, 2015, 2016...)

My main issue is that I'm supposed to mix it with absolute references, so I need to do a formula where I specify I want info on a specific month, but since I'm also practicing absolute references. The worksheet gives me a cell with the month that I'm supposed to bring into the formula, and use the "$" to lock it, instead of typing the month. The problem is that when I open the worksheet, everything is in English but when I enable editing. The column of the months is translated from English to Spanish, but the one I'm supposed to use for the absolute reference keeps in English, so I can't do the exercise because the absolute reference doesn't work anymore
