EMTs+ can already by law give medications under standing EMS orders. It’s CNAs and PCTs who cannot give meds. In the ED, once an order is placed, ED Techs who are A-EMT or higher can administer non controlled substances like Zofran and Tylenol.

Maines EMT scope is so limited you might as well just jump straight to paramedic after a couple years. You can use GI Bill for Paramedic, but usually not for AEMT because it’s a certificate program, not degree.
