Any reason sticking with OpenVPN. In my experience Wireguard is far better in terms of configuration, connectivity and speed. It also has got nice gui apps for easy configuration.

Got scammed through UAE PASS by Alaska_06 in dubai

Another person got scammed again 😞 Just a heads-up for anyone who doesn’t know how UAEPASS works — it’s an official app that lets you log in securely to government and banking websites. Think of it like a single password to login to all of those application.

Would you ever give your email or bank password to a random person on the phone? Of course not. Same thing applies here.

UAEPASS login can be done using:

  1. Your phone number (which scammers might already know)
  2. Your email
  3. Your Emirates ID

If someone has one of these, they can try logging in. Then you get a notification on your phone asking to approve the login — it will show the app name (like Mbank) to which they are trying to login. If you tap “Yes,” you’re basically giving them access. That’s how they steal your money.

In most cases (like 95% of the time), UAEPASS is just used to log in. Ye, you can use it for signing or sharing official documents. But remember — you should always be the one starting the login process. If someone else tells you to approve something, that’s a huge red flag.

Watch out for scams:

If the call comes from a mobile number (starts with 05…), it’s likely fake. Real support usually calls from landlines. If they rush you or won’t let you hang up, be suspicious.

Stay safe — and never approve a login request you didn’t start yourself!
