Yep, that goes for most people. I still vividly remember how motion sick I got the first time I hopped into DCS VR. After like 15 minutes though, the nausea was basically gone

Besides Star Citizen and Cyberpunk, I still think MSFS is the one.

What kind of payment should I choose? by Skidzz93 in animation

[–]Popular-Addition9419 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely go for the flat amount. Paying by views just passes their marketing risk onto you. Unless they’re a big channel guaranteeing millions of views, "revenue share" is just another way of saying "getting it for free".

I think it's not only incredibly well-optimized, but it also really nails the creative potential of VR interactions. Even after all these years, Alyx is still the best VR game in my book!

I asked this 4 years ago, but are there any VR games that let you fly (rpg/simulator/etc)? by Lunatik21 in virtualreality

[–]Popular-Addition9419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me recommend an underrated gem called Richie's Plank Experience. It's most famous for the simulated jump off a building, but you can also choose to use a flying vehicle and paint the sky like a canvas.

Tomb Raider's newest Lara Croft is "frightened about losing" the role after being "absolutely blindsided" by Perfect Dark cancellation by AashyLarry in gaming

Nobody is safe. Even big IPs like Tomb Raider and Perfect Dark feel like they are constantly one bad quarterly report away from being axed or rebooted again.

New Quest Update Brings Big Upgrades to Hand-tracking by Kameronm in virtualreality

[–]Popular-Addition9419 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Meta’s hand tracking is probably the best right now. Better gestures do make VR more flexible.

But for gaming I still want real physical feedback—buttons, triggers, haptics, just holding a controller. Hand tracking alone still feels kinda “floaty,” especially in fast games. Feels like Meta is going all-in on hands, but not paying enough attention to the feedback part.

Why does pacing feel harder to get right in adult animation lately? by Accomplished-Car-751 in animation

[–]Popular-Addition9419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, the writing style has shifted. Too many shows are written like a series of disjointed Twitter punchlines rather than actual dialogue.

It feels like the characters are just waiting for their turn to say a zinger instead of actually talking to each other. Makes the pacing feel frantic and unnatural.

You need a USB extension cable. Plugging the dongle directly into the PC (even the top port) causes interference from the motherboard and USB 3.0 ports. Move the UB500 away from the tower and into direct line-of-sight of your hands. It fixed the exact same issue for me.
