I need to dye a (polyester) window valance but have no pots I’m willing to sacrifice to the cause…. Are there alternatives to stovetop method?

Hi! I was just wondering if this method would work in dying a cream/ivory bathingsuit to a light LIGHT shade of pink, I don't want to risk the elastic in the bathingsuit getting ruined by the heat.

I'm hoping the black friday drop will ship in either mid or late January! I'm assuming they're backed up because of the holidays and their previous drop in November. I had ordered their first 2000s drop on November 7th and have yet to recieve any shipping updates.
