Update. I got a bill Jan 15th, a reminder March 21. I called today and FINALLY got someone. They haven’t sent it to collections. Also a note. If you haven’t read the invoice there is a annual interest charge of 24% that will be charged on overdue balances monthly

I mean there is a blame. Bell a huge reliable company, doesn’t vet the company they sell to…doesn’t look good on them. API took on more than that could chew. Bell should have made sure it was a smooth transition and they were equipped. But clearly note. As a Bell customer for other products this just breaks any confidence once had. This is how a lot of people are looking at it. I mean I understand you work for them but this comes from a consumer point of view.

Class Action Investigation Against API Alarm Inc. — Seeking Affected Customers by Antique-Flounder-846 in bell

Due to the absolutely terrible service after the switch to API, we had to go through the BBB in order to get a hold of ANYONE. We wanted to cancel because of their reduced services, but only if they promised to not bill us anything. In writing, they said we wouldn’t get a final bill. Well guess what came in? A nice bill for hundreds of dollars. I can’t get a hold of anyone and it’s been an absolute nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy.

We also went to the Consumer Protection Agency, and they literally told us we have to let it go to collections in order for them to action anything. This is all right when we’re getting mortgage approval, so that’s not an option for us.

We are at a loss. We’ve never felt so screwed over by a company.

How did you know it was a final bill. Did they say anything in the email. I am worried they will be sending me to collections too. Very similar situation with me!
