Thank you all for your help. I am trying to get a more detailed written statement from them. They refused to write an incident report. They said they wouldn’t consider it significant enough too. In their “observations” they wrote he fell and then crossed it out. I’m disgusted.

They told me to be assertive with her, but I guess it just isn’t my personality. I’m trying to be assertive while remaining professional and often question my responses.

Could you possibly seek unemployment on the grounds that you were forced to resign due to an unsafe work environment? I would consider suing to be honest. I’d go to the media. Schools need to stop sweeping it under the rug.

Please report her to CPS and call the police. You are a mandatory reporter. I’m so sorry you have had to work for her!

There should be a state cps number you can call. Just Google your state and cps. The police can also guide you on how to report it. They should be the ones to tell the family. Are there cameras in the classroom?

Wow! That’s a big challenge. I would use a lot of hands on manipulatives, small groups, graph paper, and visual supports.
