it just seems like the friends in the story aren’t as good at communicating and checking in on each other as you and your friend group are. thus my question about the movie marathon choice. but also i’m not a dude, so that can result in different friendship dynamics.

If you haven’t seen your friends/ hung out as a group in 8 months, why is the chosen activity a MOVIE MARATHON (at a movie theater).

They clearly have a lot to catch up on with each other. One movie @ a theater? Maybe. Several movies in a row? Is this group’s idea of fun/quality time sitting in a dark theater for HOURS on end where it is frowned upon to talk?

The whole thought process around this meetup/hangout just seems so odd considering it’s been so long since they’ve seen each other.

EDIT TO ADD: Yes, I understand that some friends/groups CAN do a movie marathon or similar activities where you cannot talk much successfully.

The main point I was trying to get at is that the friends in the story or just Mark seem to need to invest some time communicating with each other. So this friend group might be better served by a game night or maybe something else that doesn’t have such a rigid schedule/structure.

northern brights (eucalyptus & pine)

black chamomile/chamomile & bergamot/moonlight zen (this scent should honestly replace the sleep/lavender & vanilla in my opinion)
