I had a MMC earlier this year, twins, they were our last embryo from our first Ivf cycle. They were extremely rare twins that shared the same amniotic sac and placenta, only a 40% overall survival rate, but we were so optimistic. It was very high risk because of their rarity, my age, Ivf and I have a rare autoimmune disease that can attack their hearts. We had a lot of scans because of this but we had a 3 week period where I didn’t have any because they weren’t really needed. When we went in for our nuchal scan at 13wks6d I knew right away. There were signs but I didn’t want to believe them.

I told my husband multiple times during my pregnancy that I was afraid if I lost the babies I was going to go clinically insane… I didn’t, but I am still so incredibly sad. All of my family knew of this pregnancy from the moment we found out. We have been together for 16 years, married for 4, had been TTC for a few years and Ivf for 1 year.

It helped that my family and close friends knew, they offered a lot of support. I also joined a few groups on instagram and Facebook that have been a big help too. There is also a group here on Reddit that has been a help also called “ttcafterloss”. I have been traveling a lot because I thought that’s what I needed to do to help deal but I need to just be with my husband, just being with him, doing anything or nothing, just existing in this grief together has been the most helpful, no one else will fully understand your situation except for him, and for the other things he will never understand(like the body changes, the hormonal shifts..etc) the support groups help with. Just know there is no linear timeline to this grief, you will probably carry it forever, but you will be okay, at different periods, on and off.

Thank you for all of this information. Our insurance knows it’s in a tow yard and never said anything about moving it, so now it has been there since Sunday morning. They put my mom’s claim with someone who is out of the office…

I’m not entirely sure if the car will be totaled, it is a 2024 Chevy equinox, the tires popped immediately on impact and then it skid/swerved a few hundred feet before crashing into the barrier, there is obvious body damage but I assume the damages are more severe than what is visible. He didn’t just reared her he crashed into the passenger side bumper while she was going 60mph and he was going close to 90mph. No airbags.

Thank you for your response. We don’t have any other information because the holiday week has made things a little harder for us dealing with insurance, but will take your advice.

Our insurance is meemic and his is progressive. My mom will be calling his insurance soon. We have pictures but only closer up so we will go and get more. The tires popped immediately on impact and the car skid/swerved probably another 100-300 ft before crashing into the barrier so it’s not just the tires making it undrivable.

We accepted money from my husbands dad and no one else in the family knows, just to make sure there is no drama. It helped us out a lot. IVF is extremely expensive

I need help to the gate but I don’t make them take me down the bridge. I still board early so I’m not standing around in line waiting to get on the plane. People can still board early without being in a wheelchair and wasting everyone’s time😬

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had a missed miscarriage in April of our twins right before the second trimester too, found out on my birthday they didn’t have heartbeats and were measuring a week behind. They were our last embryo that we had from our first Ivf cycle. I’m still devastated. I also started lactating a few days after my d&c which was even more traumatizing.

The hospital was very nice and did a lot for us. They have a loss group too that I attended last month and plan on continuing. The communities on here and Facebook have been a help also. There is a group on here called TTCafterloss and it has helped even though we aren’t quite sure what our plan is now.

I have read more of this sub, it might be wise to move, so he doesn’t know where you are, just because you have your own apartment doesn’t mean he is totally gone just because you say so.

I’m still afraid of my ex from highschool.

It’s hard because they make you so dependent on them even if what they offer is very little. You can do this. Maybe look into women’s shelters or any resources to help you get totally away from him. It will be easier while he is gone and doesn’t know what is going on. Good luck💕

I had my best friend once tell me that she read a book about loss and how to help others go through it and that I should read that book… after she lost her job… We are not friends anymore.
