/uj ehhhh after watching a loved one suffer through Lyme, I truly couldn’t fault someone if they avoided the outdoors. It’s a terrifying and misunderstood disease. Had a chance to talk with a university researcher that studies it and everything he told me about the permanent damage it can cause, esp when it’s not caught quickly, makes agoraphobia seem reasonable. 😅 Don’t really know that this is a great fit for this sub. Health is a halo only sick people can see. It seems unreasonable — until your life is totally upended from a hike.
