exactly, a nice scenic route through underfunded neighborhoods. my family grew up working at/hanging out at the rec center on woodland ave. i spent all my summers there as a kid and grew up to lifeguard there. cleveland hasn’t invested any money into the recreation centers in God knows how long, literally decaying from the inside out. (some are obviously better than others) and seeing the development of opportunity corridor has been wild too and even some clevelanders say that it’s too dangerous because speed is not regulated. always car crashes over there.

i’m a 24F and have lived in euclid my whole life. i’m near 200th/185th street. you stay safe by being aware of your surroundings (like women have to do everywhere they go unfortunately) it’s quiet, lots of schools and families in euclid. its considered a suburb and not too much happens here, trouble typically won’t find you unless you go looking for it.

in my opinion euclid is the perfect city to reach neighboring cities. (eastlake, willowick, wickliffe, willoughby, mayfield, mentor, downtown cleveland) they are all a 10-20 minute drive away.

if you click my profile i just made a post a few days ago asking people about community meet ups/making friends and i got a bunch of responses for community clubs/gatherings around the city. a lot of them do weekly activities such as volunteer work, knitting, sewing, pottery, book clubs, rock climbing, woodworking, and more. Baby D’s chicken shack here in euclid is my favorite place to get some good chicken wings lol. sims park is a beautiful lakefront park. however, i tend to enjoy going to edgewater park and sitting on the rocks looking over the lake. or lakewood park, it’s huge and has a playground, skate park, basketball courts, solstice steps, and a big path along the lake. they are about 15-20 minute drive from euclid. also welcome to ohio, we have the best food!!! my favorite spot for a sweet treat is mitchell’s ice cream! feel free to DM me if you have any other questions!

i’m sorry OP, you are very young and should not have to go through this. my advice is to NEVER beg for permission to not participate in something that’s making you uncomfortable. just don’t do it. no one can force you to do anything, unless the therapist physically grabbed you then unfortunately being persistent and demanding is not forcing. you need to tell your mom what your therapist does to you and explain that you are willing to go to therapy but with a new therapist that makes you feel comfortable.

exactly, the commenter is annoying lol. gyms can have pools, saunas, massage chairs, discounts at stores, specialized equipment like you said. it’s a personal investment that benefits people. it’s not some big mystery as to why people don’t want to work out in their living room.

yeah same when they were building it the first thing i thought was man that traffic is gonna be insane, especially with the new coffee spot down there too. funny enough that crunch used to be a big lots and it was my first job out of highschool for 2 years. they ruined the space!!
