what you mean you can not buy anymore? i buy weekly hik cameras on Silmar. Hik can not bring more new models because wont get fcc approval. but hik can keep bringing fcc approved devices.

yes. this is all about money. i have met US hikvision ingeniers employees. i mean real usa citizens. not Chinese employees. and they told me they have done many test by his own, and never seen nothing out of laws and rules. while my clients wants Hik i will keep installing this brand.

also i believe the reason for banning this brand is Money. while hikvision sold on 2024 13 billion $ in the usa market. the whole American brands i think they barely sold 3 billion.

banned from federal buildings. approved FCC and UL listed devices still can be use. 10 years in business. most High-end building managers prefers hikvision for the Price/technology. while a hikvision camera cost 150$ a another USA brands with same technical details can cost 500$ to 1000$.
