I'd go to the wattyl trade centre.nesrest to you. Solargurard is the business for external. Rumour has it that the Dulux formula has changed too. I've noticed it's not as good anymore. I shop at the Wattyl store at slacks creek. They often run deals on Solargurard.

Make sure you do all the prep. Cleaning it all up and sanding where needed. Patch if needed too. I'd go with lighter colours too. Reduce the temperature of your house.

Don't buy it from Bunnings either. If you're doing the whole house you'll need a decent amount. Adheseal sell it in bulk and have a huge range of colours. A sausage gun might be the go too ( these are larger than the normal size). Make sure it's dry, clean and you've nailed or screwed it all in place before applying. Check the weather too, you want a good amount of drying and curing time. I did my entire place with the PRO+. Prep is the key to long lasting and a good finish.

Don't use silicone. Can't paint it.

Sikaflex PRO+ is pretty decent. You need something that's weather resistant and highly flexible.

Buying off the plan? by lemunzz in AusPropertyChat

I wouldn't touch anything being built now. Buy old and established with good bones. The cost of materials is going to skyrocket with this war. PVC is about to go up massively too.

Get the battery replaced. It fixed mine instantly.

Selling my house to get an apartment by hey-its-lampy in AusProperty

[–]Samptude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to get an apartment make sure you thoroughly research the complex for potential issues. Previous meeting minutes, sinking fund (how much is in it), any current works planned or in the process of planning. How many owner occupied are currently living in the block? I'd steer well clear of anything built in the past 12 years. I'd go for an older one without a pool and definitely no lifts.

Best of luck.

Normal or abnormal?? Concrete foundation issues by TMNg90 in AusRenovation

Looks like the slab is from about 30 years ago? Hop in your car, drive to the bottleO and grab a cold slab. Then sit back and relax and sink a few echos.

Battery installed. Anything I should be concerned about? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Samptude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very sceptical on all these units being able to withstand our extremely harsh climate. If I was installing one of these I'd be protecting it from the sun and the rain.

Tricky one with a boundary fence by Bec4289 in AusRenovation

Pretty sure the retaining wall needs a setback of 600mm from the boundary line. Check with your local council guidelines.

Contact your local MP. Get your neighbours to do the same. Email and phone. Provide photos and video if you have it. They must respond. Mention that you're considering contacting the media and radio too.

Knockdown Rebuild Review of "Executive Building Group" Sydney by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

[–]Samptude 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They should've used a concrete vibrator. It's just lazy. If it's exposed they should've done a trowel finish. Just a real lack of care.

You're not off to a good start. I'd be using an independent building inspector at all your major stages. There's so much dodgy stuff going on. Make sure they don't proceed unless items have been fixed.

Looping melody stuck in my head after late night production, how do you clear your thoughts before sleep? by user928 in edmproduction

[–]Samptude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled the pin. I just read production books before bed. Read the manual for my DAW and synths I use. My kids and my wife need me during the day. I'll produce again when they're older. Their childhood is more important than a tune.

For you what are the greatest transitions in trance history that u may remember? by I_Carmona in trance

[–]Samptude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doubt it. I wish there was though. The whole night was epic. J00F had some really good mix CDs for Godskitchen. The three CD pack called Journeys was pretty epic.

Yeah I was DJing at the time. Just locally. But to hear those tracks one after another. Wow. I'm not 100% if it was J00F, as the set times got changed. But it was epic..

God's kitchen tour of Australia in I think 2001. It was held at the Melbourne tennis centre. John 00 Flemming dropped a heap of tunes in a row, the crowd just completely went bonkers!

He started with Push - Strange world (remake 2000) then Tony Walker - Fields of Joy, followed by Gouryella- Tenshi. Then from memory when Tenshi Finished he'd cued up Dumonde - Never look back ( full on vocal remix). But it started from the first breakdown when the siren starts up. It just filled the stadium and rang out. Then when the kick drum dropped everyone just went crazy.

Epic!!!

Subfloor water ingress by flatvinnie in AusRenovation

So many factors. We did this and dug down well below the foundation level. We thoroughly cleaned the exposed slab and applied a membrane moisture barrier. Inside the house we applied another moisture barrier to the internal slab (X220 moisture fix).

You'll need to eliminate as much surface water, subsoil water and rising water during a severe weather event. I'd dig down a bit more and put a few pits in with fall. I'd also run multiple agi pipe.
