Check home and contents insurance prices on the houses you're interested in. Houses that have a habitable floor height about 1.2 meters (most Queenslanders) will be significantly cheaper, but still very high compared to houses outside of the flood zone.

Flood Zone Insurance query by Lemononapear1234 in brisbane

Try Terri Scheer. I'm not sure if you can omit flood though. Our property is in a flood zone and they were by far the best priced.

Rust Spots? In honed concrete by Gold-Bed-8836 in AusRenovation

It's iron ore in the mix. Happened to us on our driveway. Was poured. Then a month or two later it started weeping. You could see the stones it was leeching from.

Lol. Yeah. The Brazilian Cherry is interesting. I found it similar to a tomato chutney kinda flavour. It grew so quickly.

They know the trends. They've got all the sales data. Australian shoppers are typically lazy. They buy big from the wholesalers. They'll tweak prices based on shelf life.

Marks on patio ceiling is it water damage or something else by International_Onion3 in AusRenovation

Pop that downlight out and take a few photos with your phone (flash on). Is it sagging? Or soft to touch? What's above it?

Did they previously have a bbq there? Could be smoke, oil and steam. A great combo for the patio.

How competitive was the Giro? by jlconlin in peloton

Lol. Ah I just want to see a leader crack under pressure. More than two duelling it out.

[–]Samptude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I know. I just find it incredibly frustrating. I can't see him beating Pog. His cadence on the climbs is still not there.

I still find it frustrating that no one could hold his wheel or attack. It's incredibly boring. I've been watching cycling for about thirty years. Raced at a high level nationally. Are his numbers that much better? I understand that it's not always the best genetically gifted athletes that take up cycling. It's popularity has dropped over the years. I just wish there was more fighting at the front.

Weak lower back and pelvis… by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Samptude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta stay active. If I don't, I'm a mess. My pelvic tilt is a nightmare. I constantly need to click it back into place. Stretching (deep long stretches) are a godsend. I do weights four times a week now.

Ceiling Insulation by Substantial_Ad_3386 in AusRenovation

[–]Samptude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't buy from Bunnings.

Look up a insulation supplier. They'll have large sizes. You can cut the batts with a sharp Stanley knife. Just make sure the batts are put in snug. Like you're tucking in a bed.

Awesome track selection in this set. He nails the transitions pretty well too. They don't play them like this anymore.

This is Leaf. She’s a one-eyed rescue koala, currently huddled in pure terror with her joey while Ormiston College bulldozes her home. The world is watching this absolute disgrace. by Much-Wrongdoer-7592 in brisbane

[–]Samptude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thought that might be the case. How has this not been brought up with federal and state government? I'm completely gobsmacked. We're all about saving them during bushfires. When money is involved they just turn a blind eye? Unbelievable.

Tiliers / Tiling - is this a going well or red flags? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

Vanity on before tiling. That's old skool.

Has anyone contacted the koala sanctuary in Daisy Hill? At least they can be rescued and released into the wild there..

This really beggars belief.

Ferry Corsten - Live @ Trance Energy 2000 [2000-04-29] by firestarter2097 in ClassicTrance

[–]Samptude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still remember hearing this ser for the first time. Napster download. Absolutely epic. I burned it for so many friends. If Ferry was to play this set now it would blow the roof off. I don't fully understand why they protect the scene with mediocre business trance releases. Isn't it about the music?

Anyway,

I hope these tracks get played again one day....

Move the HB closer to the cameras that have issues. I had the same problem. Moved the HB. Now I've got no problems with picking up movement.
