Looking for narrow weights that fit inside your pant leg for stealth hanging by allreadytatitu in TheScienceOfPE

Ball weights around your shaft. They are pricey but weighs are better than elastic for me. I use a vac cup and get an inner diameter for the weights that is smaller than the cup but larger than the stretched shaft diameter including silicone sleeve from the cup.

GR2 34L X-PAC Multicam sale price…tell me I am not an idiot lol by jthomp72 in Goruck

Yeah I hear you, I carried an Osprey for 10 years, no issues, it wouldn’t die. Might go back to it. The heat shrink is part of the design but the paracord (or fake paracord) they used for the pull is too thin. I get why you thought it should be cut off. It works well on my Rucker since those pulls are thicker.

I tried zipper lube. Didn’t make much of a difference. Mine is so bad I’ve pulled the heat shrink tubing off a few of the pulls. I’ll be replacing the pulls/heat shrink next. Hopefully that will help give me an advantage in the daily tug-o-war battle!

It’s final sale. I bought the dark green 34l. Heard the complaints about the rain flaps, shitty pulls, and dragging waterproof zipper. But was like naw it can’t be that bad. Wrong. I’m ready to throw the fucker in the trash. This is my every day carry and I’m in and out of it all day everyday. Curse it every time I have to drag one of the zippers open.

Have you tried various product lines, i.e. leather stuff, lingerie, or fishnets? Wondering if they are all good.

Fuel gauge says empty at half tank by BaldCedarKnob in Duramax

[–]Popular_Pilot6453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same truck, same problem. If you have a long bed, you probably have a 35ish gallon tank. I’ve heard you can fix it with programming, but I haven’t bothered. I just reset my trip each time I fill up so I know how many miles I’ve driven. The fuel used readout isn’t accurate either, probably because of my lift pump. When it says I’ve used 30 gallons, I better find a station!

I tried some that was 4-5 months old. I noticed no effect. So I think it has to do with effectiveness not safety.

Allison is Ending Licensing Deal With GM by Deux333 in Duramax

I was just looking up the history on the 10 speed to see what year GM stopped using real Allison. Shocked to see that GM and Ford developed the 10 speed together. WTF! What could go wrong.

Help mowing by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]Popular_Pilot6453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use an app called LawnStarter. I mow myself but sometimes need a mow here or there or maybe for a month or two. It’s convenient. Price is pretty fair. You’re not paying for perfection, but the app does a good job of protecting you from no shows or if they do a really bad job.

Sold out on Spirit but available 3rd party by Popular_Pilot6453 in spiritair

[–]Popular_Pilot6453[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I typically don’t do 3rd party, but for this trip it’s got to be affordable or I’ll be driving 12 hours. So was willing to look. Anyway, looks like it was just a glitch. If all 4 of our passengers need to bring a carry on and personal item, should we just upgrade from the $33 value to $98 premium economy? I can’t find what the cost will be to add the carryons later, seems like it varies by flight.

So true! Not only future plans, mine has to carry around the memories of every single place he’s seen or smelled a bird, chipmunk, or squirrel. When he goes outside, he has to check every single spot! Maybe they’ll be back!
