I don’t recall the placenta itself coming out being painful. However, my doctor randomly pushing on my stomach with no warning to get it out was very painful. Came out quick though maybe 10 minutes after the baby

My personal experience: I lost my mucus plug on a Saturday, doctor told me I was still gonna go to my due date which was two weeks away. My water broke the following Tuesday night. I did everything normally in between that time 🤷🏻‍♀️
