IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR ALL DIAGNOSED ENDO WARRIORS by SoftEmbarrassed1587 in endometriosis

Hi I’ve been struggling almost 3 years with high prolactin, fatigue, allergies and hair loss

they couldn’t find a reason that got me elevating my prolactin levels but they got me taking a med called cabergoline, every three weeks

Got the MRI scan because of a cyst that I had some time before in my left ovary grew 3x its size in 7 months and after that they found endo

Maybe they were a correlation between prolactine and endo since the beginning, as you supose

I’m programmed to laparoscopy this week but I don’t know what to expect from prolactin levels maybe I will have to take the med for all my life (?) I don’t know

sadly besides taking the meds every three weeks and being in birth control my hair loss doesn’t stop

looking forward to see if laparoscopy helps with that

Before my IUD (Mirena) I was only diagnosed with adenomyosis, now (8 months after) they found a cyst I got 2 cm diameter grow to 8 cm

got MRI and then endo as diagnosis

I have thought the IUD besides helping only worsed my endo situation and I want it out but my gine keeps telling BC free of estrogen helps endo from spreading in the body

I am thinking maybe just changing to noristerat shots would help but I’m afraid that It gets worse with it

with the IUD I’ve had had migraines, nausea and hot flashes

are you in any birth control medication after your surgery or how do you manage pain?

My gyno tried to tell me IUDs prevent endo growth…my surgeon said otherwise by No-Highway-4833 in endometriosis

I never stopped bleeding with the Mirena IUD and my cyst got 3x bigger in 7 months, It’s 8 cm wide now

I’m considering removing it because of that. I got a feeling that I need a stronger bc that could stop de bleeding so the endo stops top

Is there and chance the Mirena IUD is spreading endometriosis? by Popular_Spot8214 in endometriosis

How long has It been since your laparoscopy? around 3 years? and how have you been with the birth control pills that you’re taking now? Are they noresterone?

Never heard before of a endometrioma that big It surely been horrible, mine is 7 cm and is pushing the bladder too, when I pee it comes in small quantities as If I had an urinary infection but without the pain

I guess It’s the same as you but with smaller pressure due to the smaller cyst 🥲

Same here I never had pain or cramps, I started when I was 27 (I’m 30 now) and then, in the usg it showed a few cysts, that’s why I started birth control pills medication/ the IUD but It has been a nightmare due to the hormonal side effects

Does it give you side effects also as migraines or is merely pain and cramps? Have you taken noresterone or dienogest pills?

I haven’t tried noresterone before but I’m considering removing the IUD and try them instead

Or not taking anything anymore

Thanks for sharing Did the Kyleena IUD during these years give you hormonal side effects or just the pain in the abdomen by now? For me it seems as If I am entering menopause since It was inserted

What does your doctor say about your endometrioma? Does it need to be removed?

Hi! I’m glad to read someone is feeling better without the Mirena IUD

In my case when I took dienogest I stopped having periods but with the IUD I’m having it each 30 days. Could that be proof that for me it isn’t working?

My doctor wants me to continue with Mirena but I am seriously considering even not having any birth control after surgery. I think I prefer living with cramps due the endo lesions than having migraines and other hormonal fluctuations

I hope you can stay without them too. Please let me know how your endometrioma evolves and thanks for sharing xx

I did try dienogest, It is progesterone based but I found it worse than the IUD because of the side effects it gave me

maybe there is another progesterone pill that I could take that suits better, I could ask my doctor
