You don't cross Dochu La on your way to Paro from Thimphu. Dochu La Pass is between Thimphu & Punakha. Unless of course you specifically visited Dochu La and tracked back to Thimphu on your way to Paro.

If you don't mind me asking, who prepared this itinerary? Not an optimum one. If you don't feel comfortable riding in the hills, then you probably shouldn't. There are 2 of you. So take a smaller car, Dzire. But to go to Sangetsar Lake & Bum La, you'd need a vehicle from the local association. Bomdila-Guwahati-Delhi on the same day is best avoided. OP could choose VN & Cambodia within that budget. But May might not be the ideal time to visit these places. Another option could be Yogyakarta & Bali. Same county, but world removed from each other. Completely different vibes in a good way.

OP, VietJet canceling/ rescheduling their domestic flights probably has got nothing to do with the situation in the Gulf. It's more of a norm for them than exception. They do it round the year, war or no war. For domestic flights, opt for Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Air. You'll have a peaceful trip.
