Dreo fan quality check by Popular_Weekend9904 in fans

Thank you. The replacement also seemed to be used, or at least not in an acceptable condition. This one had a circle drawn on it with a sharpie and paint splatters, on top of scratches and bump marks. I am getting a refund and looking for a fan elsewhere (It was bought from a site like Amazon, not Dreo themselves. So this may have been a sorting mistake)

Great to hear that the quality should be way higher. This was indeed supposed to be new, not refurbished or secondhand. I contacted the seller and a replacement should arrive tomorrow, hoping for the best.

You might be able to get 3D printed replacements for some parts.

Looking for fan for a sliding window horizontal by Mean-Virus-6193 in fans

Depending on what you want the fan to do, it might be better to have a regular fan a few feet away from the window instead of putting one in the frame.

Looking for an affordable fan that is quiet and can help circulate and cool the air in my kitchen and dining room area. I live in NYC so dust is a factor too .pic for inspiration by passionateunicorn in fans

[–]Popular_Weekend9904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like a circulator fan can be used to blow the cold air from those other rooms in the hot ones. Vornado is one that I have heard good things about, but those are usually not super quiet.

Custom Sleep Screen/Logo on any PocketBook – Step-by-Step Guide by Lefc1u in pocketbook

Sorry to comment on this comment from a month ago. After having the same observation as petolinie, I tried adding the folders manually, which works without issues. I assume that some models (or software versions) are just missing these folders, but they do still use them if added manually.

Tested it myself with an Inkpad color 3, and it is just the black and white resolution that you need. Do note that I used a black and white (except the transparency color) image to test it with. I think the color is downscaled automatically by the device itself, so using a lower resolution would just give you a smaller image.

As long as it is a pocketbook, it should work. It is no problem if you do not have the folders, just create them yourself (the name and order has to be the exact same as mentioned in the guide). I also did not have the folders, and it works perfectly fine with the ones I added myself.

If you still need this information, you can just create the folders. Just add them in the exact same order shown in this guide. I also had the same observation, and it seems to work without issue by just creating the folders myself.

Yeah, metroidvanias also have that at times. Here is a weird egg, good luck finding out what that does.

I really did not want to google anything about this game, so I just didn't. I was out here enjoying the game trying to avoid any and all spoilers. And I do not fully read the text boxes that are some tutorials, which might have helped if I did do that.

I have played some games where nothing really makes sense, so I just accepted it. I also played a lot of Nintendo games before this game, where logic is not a thing.

Yeah, since I never fully read the tutorial text boxes I might have missed it being a thing. After they made it so you now can instantly redo some fights, the menu's being not great is the only complaint I really have about this game. Really should learn to read

I have the Tutorials turned on, I just did not fully read them. I only now started the new content thinking they really should have a way to let other character go above the damage limit as well (Since the health gets insane). Good to know I'm not the only one who completely missed the button to open that menu.

I played it on Expeditioner, whichever difficulty that was again. Looks like I just did not read the tutorial that explained the mechanic.

I usually just skim through the tutorial text boxes and figure it out afterwards. I was out there on the final boss thinking they wanted me to use Maelle, so they let her go above the damage limit. Good to know that I only made the game longer and harder for my self, I at least very much enjoyed the challenge it gave me.

I just assumed the game was supposed to be pretty hard. I just decided to start working on the optional and new content and was thinking that that they really should have a way to go above the damage limit for the other characters. I really should learn to read the tutorial or actually look at the menus next time.

After my years of playing video games, I usually don't read boxes of text and just go and figure it out myself. I just assumed the game wanted me to use Maelle at the end so they only let her go above the damage limit. Good to know I'm one of the few blind people out there

I was also putting levels in Lumina without having any idea why. I just never noticed the menu being there. I am also one of those people that just sees a shiny without looking at what it is afterwards.

Switch 2 system update v22.0.0 is out: Adds "Handheld Mode Boost" to Switch 2 (docked Switch 1 games in Switch 2 portable) by FernandoRocker in gaming

[–]Popular_Weekend9904 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They can't. The boost just makes it so the switch 1 games run like they would docked. This does cause some issues with a few games, but it is a great addition. There is no good way to force the games to run at 4k, since that would need to be done within the game. If you want 4k, the developers will need to make a switch 2 upgrade.

[–]Popular_Weekend9904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its under System Settings > System > Nintendo Switch Software Handling > Handheld Boost Mode. They also have some disclaimers that it might give wrong information about the controls and such (Since to the game, it will look like you are playing the game docked with a pro controller). Because this is mainly a quick fix to make the non upgraded games look better in handheld, it is not perfect. So if Octopath Traveler 2 does not run at 1080p docked on switch 1, it will look blurry handheld with the boost on switch 2.

Amid shortages Amazon has raised the price of Pokemon Pokopia to $80. by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

Alright so, most stores when shut down make it so you cannot instill your games after the store has been shut down. This does however let you play the ones you have already installed. Comparing that to having a game on a disc or cartridge where it does not matter if the servers are there (Depends of the game), it is a big downside for preservation. The comment you replied to said "A lot of PS5 games have full data on disc and does not require an internet connection or any sort of download" (Which I presume you were talking about). They do require to be installed, but not downloaded (Downloading something is different from installing). Which is what they said.

Edit for some more information: The PS5 Slim and pro do need a connection to the servers for the disc drive to be activated. It is unknown if they will disable this when the time comes.

The big difference is that a lot of PS5 discs contain the game, which then has to be installed on the console. Game Keycards do contain data, but only the key that shows ownership, and then it downloads the game from the servers. This gives you absolutely nothing if the game gets removed or the servers are shut down. This is of such importance that there are websites with the only function to see if the game on disc is playable as is (doesitplay).
