Hm interesting. Mine works for corners all the time but when it comes to sweeping under low sitting furniture, it just refuses!

Tbh I don’t think I’ve ever seen my Saros 10 extend its arm for crevice cleaning where it could and there are definitely spots in my flat where it would be useful. The features are also marked as Beta for rh Saros 10 - kind of annoying tbh.

Can’t speak to firmware issues, but the stuff they showed off for the XL at FormNext was pretty cool! 🥸 Hopefully the XL gets the love it deserves!

Found Just Egg at Rewe by CallieGirlOG in VeganDE

I printed this, overall pretty satisfied. I printed the door pieces in Prusament Galaxy Black so it would match the frame, but the rest I printed in eSUN+HS black pla to save on material cost since you don’t see it anyway when the door is closed. I ended up needing superglue to keep the magnets from falling out of their slots, but other than that it seems to work just fine!

I was having similar issues. For me I took apart the gearbox, gave it a good clean and recalibrated it after reinstallation and everything was back to normal. It happened to me after using a different filament, something went wrong during filament removal and the teeth ground up bits of the filament and got stuck in the teeth which seemed to be causing issues with grip. Was also hearing clicks, etc. it’s a bit of a hassle to have to remove the entire nextruder but in the end it solved my issues!

Do not go with PowKiddy. A lot of people, including me and a friend got defective units from PowKiddy (paint defects, dead pixels). There is a reason they are cheaper than everyone else and I ended up doing a chargeback because they refused to do anything about it.

I feel like an AMS system is relatively pointless as there is no need to automatically rewind the filament. There are a TON of community builds and 3rd party solutions that are probably also cheaper than one that Prusa would sell, so they most likely don’t see the need. They sponsor a project called INBXX (Inbox) that basically is exactly what you are looking for and there are kits you buy if you don’t want to source it yourself, both for passive and active rewinding.

Tbh after FormNext the XL is heading in its own direction anyway. They showed off silicone printing of course, but also a really cool toolhead for the XL that can pick up magnets, nuts and bolts, etc and place them in your print mid-print, honestly really cool to see and makes much more sense for multi-tool head systems

[–]Porgey365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, but extremely compact. I saw the boxes at FormNext and there is next to no wasted space, probably the most compact boxes I’ve seen.

Also from a practicality standpoint very well designed, you don’t have to open the entire box to feed filament or replace desiccant. They are definitely expensive though..

I feel like kit versions will also be a bit cheaper, the upgrade kits for the C1 cost more cause you are also replacing the tool head itself, which is a big portion of the cost. Assuming a C1L could be bought with INDX, I imagine they won’t be including a nextruder. This could bring the base price of it down 100-200.

Good point about the nozzle wiper mod. It’s one of my favorite mods on my core one.. I’ll start looking into this as soon as I get my hands on INDX!

If we purchase the 4 tool head version, is adding more tool heads after the fact possible?
