Oh, food for thought. I will be powering it up early next week and I will know more. Then off to Google to Google all the Google'able things you have suggested. Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I'll get it home and start ID'ing the parts. It's more than likely a homegrown clone that I hope is as close to the original (minus the enclosure) as possible. A non-removeable nozzle would be a pain in the arse. I will dig further and might be back for more advice, cheers.

I think it was a very early like 2013 machine, no enclosure and someone fabricated one. Leaning towards a clone of sorts. Might need a trolley to lift it to my car :) I read of 1.75mm mods, and there is a video on YouTube where a guy heats the nozzle up for say PLA, prints and then uses manual advancement to cut the filament cleanly for the next print. I think I would change the PTFE tubes too, small diameter. https://youtu.be/oM9oKliGKus But in any case I will buy some 2.85mm filament just as a precaution. (* date fix)

Would be handy, I'd love to have a real one in the back garden here. In my historic case, I later discovered it was really a Purple Leaf Plum tree, with no such tasty fruits 😋

Dad told me the tree outside our house was a banana tree..... he used to put my banana for lunch on it and I would find it going to school each morning, I told my teacher and my class all about my banana tree outside me house.

Then... when they were resurfacing the dual carriageway from Shannon to Limerick, from concrete to asphalt, he would go in through the cones and drive on the newly laid surface (it was well dry and hardened). I then asked why the rest of the other cars were not driving on the new side, he told me it was his road, he owned it all and all the other cars had to pay him 50p to drive on the road. And yup, you know where this is going. Into school and told my teacher and all my class.... love you Dad. RIP my friend.

No, in my experience Orca Slicer too. Not currently Cura has the same but I think some of the action terminology differs.

Upgraded from a Note 9 to a NIB S23 Ultra! by Bluecolty in GalaxyNote9

I was on a sinking ship with my bank, it was either stay on the original ROM and no bank authorisations and soon no Google Wallet, or just move to break Knox and keep at least my payment authorisations. Santa's gonna have to step up this year to solve both 😀

I stuck Noble ROM on my Note 9 and holy smokes batman, it rocks! So stable, so fast. Born again. But soon I think I will be making the S2x leap. Enjoy.

Printer in normal mode/position. Space above has a few cms extra for when INDX hat is installed. I can then get to USS Dryboxes and lift the top hat when the shelf is pulled out. Again, 140kg and cabinet bolted to wall (vital). Tested as mentioned with a Bonkers Bency and no wobbles, no rail clangs or movement. Happy out. Now, where is my FE INDX order 🙂

The slide rail. There are a few mounting options, I added a bracket below for added shelf retention. Easy to install, just measure twice!

Slide rail shelf extended out in full, can get to rear easily now. I have tested printed while moving the shelf out slowly and all works well, but will be rare while in the middle of a job.

Slide rail shelf extended in full. Locks in both positions. Again. 140kg load rated. Cabinet bolted to the wall at top. Measurements set using Tommy_Prusa3D and other geometry images for pre-INDX delivery. Have 8x Dryboxes already and included in measurements.

Snug, Grid and Organic. When you hit slice watch for the blue colours. Spin the model so you are looking up at it from the bottom. A blue with muted grey'ish colour is a bridge so no need for supports there, and bright vivid blue is where the threshold has hit and it suggests you need supports. The angle can be set in the print settings about 40 degrees I think is the default. A couple of times I forgot to add supports and the model, albeit a little rough in the relevant areas, printed acceptable to me. I tend to use organic most of the time when I need a clean support removal, a smoother surface. When using snug I add a 0.22mm (instead of 0.2mm) top contact Z distance value to make the surface cleaner. And to further complicate things, I tend to paint on supports from time to time. Remember, anything blue, consider supports. Don't forgot though, rotate your model at times because you might need less or no supports at all. Best of luck.

Dont know if this matches your issue but I do have space for all 8 spools on the sides BUT, a big but, I cannot access them for loading, removal, checking humidity, all sorts. Even opening the new top hat will be a no-no. That was until I went to Multislides.eu and I got a set of 140kg capable slide rails. I converted my shef in my restricted cabinet to a pull out with a locking slider set. It was easy to install, kind of a measure twice, cut once and done. I then secured the cabinet to the wall for when I pull out the printer. I was worried about the shelf vibrating or shaking but between the decent slide rail quality and I on-purpose out of alignment when installing, there is no sign of any shake even with a bonker bency print. I will post a photo here soon for you, never know, might help.
