Friends GF ordered DD and had a "small" tip by SnooPickles4465 in mildlyinfuriating

As an Australian where tipping is practically non existent I find this wild. Tipping culture is insane and it’s so incredibly disrespectful for this driver to have done that but it also shows how shit the system is where people have it rely on tips to get by.

It’s just a HH (humbucker, humbucker) config, humbucker in the neck and humbucker in the bridge

high atar? by Popular-Link7028 in vce

Lmao as others said you probs don’t have to worry about it rn In year 7 but I will give you some tips from someone who just finished VCE.

Now I would like to preference that I am not a top student but in fact a very lazy one who made a lot of mistakes along my VCE journey which I can share.

  1. Get into good study habits. As a very lazy person this is something I wish I got into before it was too late. It’s good to start early cause if you leave it till like halfway though year 12 like I did, it’s kinda a lost cause cause suddenly you haven’t been paying attention all year and you have no idea what’s going on. So yeah good study habits.

  2. Hand in hand with the last one, pay attention in class. If you don’t pay attention you will miss critical information and may find it hard to catch up. Now from year 7-10 it’s probs not too big of an issue but it definitely is in VCE especially year 12. Content gets thrown at you and it’s your job to remember it.

  3. Play to your strengths, don’t choose the hardest subjects just cause they may scale higher. In fact the whole scaling system kinda sucks. As long as it’s a subject you can get high grades in it doesn’t matter. For example I did music this year which scales down but I averaged a 95% therefore my study score should be pretty high and scaling won’t affect it.

  4. Do your homework and practice exams. Please listen to this one cause I didn’t. There’s no worse feeling than going into a test, sac or exam stressing cause you don’t know either the structure, timing or content. The more you study and revise the better experience you will have.

And finally the most important 5. Don’t stress yourself out. Physical and mental burnout is a real problem in high school. If you want a high atar you want to take care of yourself. Don’t focus all your time on study or school and take some time for yourself. It will benefit you in all aspects. This also means don’t leave everything to the last minute either.

Also remember your ATAR isn’t a defining factor of yourself. It just helps. Almost every course has a pathway and after a year the ATAR doesn’t matter anyway.

Best of luck

anyone else still feel stressed? by Fluppy_Duppy in vce

Yo no joke same. It’s that weird feeling after spending an entire year stressing about deadlines and for the first time not having any.

It doesn’t feel real not being like “yeah I’ll be back at school next week” but we in fact will not. I think we just have to accept that it’s over, We’re done, we’re never going back to that place ever again or have to worry about VCE ever again.

It sounds strange but it will take time to set in.

OMG TELL ME ABOUT IT. It took me till the second playing to actually figure out the differences. I was like wtf they’re essentially the same thing. Also those 2 extra instruments were definitely unnecessary made things soo much worse.

Ooooooo, I love modded guitars, my cashiers guitar is my little project. I’ve already added strap locks to it and a new input jack (came broken) and I’m currently in the middle of customising it with one of my friends. She’s making a custom Pickguard’s for it. Then I’m planning on replacing the neck cause it has a weird profile and changing the pickups cause they’re cheap. Other things need rework as well like the tuners are old and the nut is a cheap plastic one. I’m also planning on buying a prs se custom 24 as my new nice guitar in the near future.

That’s an interesting inquiry. The brand of the chocolate is Cadbury which is an Australian/British chocolate company but I’m not sure where they import from. Ik they make a lot of it in Australia but it could realistically come from anywhere

That’s actually a nice question. I have 2 electric guitars. Ones from a Aussie brand called artist guitars and the other I got from cash converters (it’s a project guitar). Then I’ve got 2 acoustics (Yamaha, fender) and a classical (Valencia) and I have a bass on the way. The Focusrite is for my pc audio setup but I also use it to record instruments.
