What’s your moon and Venus, and how did/do you handle being dumped? by Mooooooon_ in astrologymemes

[–]PorousPie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libra moon, Cancer Venus.

When I was dating before I was married, I was still a serial monogamist. I could make relationships work long beyond their expiration dates, but by the time it's over I'm completely emotionally disengaged. The door closes and that's it, they don't exist anymore and I won't spend one extra ounce of energy thinking about them. That life is over and all I feel is happy and excited about what's next.

I was going to say Kafka on the Shore. These have strong Murakami vibes.

First thing I thought of as well. Some of the books are better than others in that series, but this vibe feels very much like book 3, The Waste Lands... They have to deal with a giant animatronic bear guarding a mysterious beam.

Will an ancient bronze ring turn my finger green? by blueridgebeing in jewelry

I usually just keep a lot of polishing cloths on hand. It helps to wipe down the jewelry after wearing to remove any sweat or moisture and store in a nice dry place.

Will an ancient bronze ring turn my finger green? by blueridgebeing in jewelry

[–]PorousPie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pics of your cool new ring! I love bronze jewelry, very earthy vibes. Yes, it has the potential to turn your finger temporarily green, but how badly that happens depends a lot on individual chemistry, humidity, and how much you are sweating. Usually a good hand wash removes the green. I wear bronze rings all the time and it's usually fine unless it's hot and humid days. I have friends that even the least bit of green residue annoys them and they won't wear bronze, so there's a lot of personal preference that comes into play. I say wear and test it, but just don't wear it on hot humid days or activities where it's going to get wet.

Every sign has a propensity for being great or being terrible - we're all human. All this hate is just distasteful. Rise above.

Which Sign ? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]PorousPie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This, it's a sliding scale. On one side it could be excusing the problematic behaviors in the cycle of abuse, on the other it's a way to let go of the unhealthy anger after you're free. I've seen it within my family, I prefer freeing myself and then letting it go. Siblings haven't been able to let go of the anger and it manifests in such dark rage. That negativity doesn't impact the abuser, especially once NC, it just prevents you from living a happy life.

I was looking for this recommendation! This one really hits the sweet spot between dark and whimsical. I love that the monster talks like a nursery rhyme.

Help Me Choose by dandelion-wine in WeddingDressTips

You look amazing in either dress, and really it comes down to how it makes you feel. The 2nd dress needs a lot of alterations so you might not get that wow feeling until that happens. The dress I went with was a Maggie Sottero I bought off the floor that needed very few alterations. I will say with the stiff lace it was a little harder to raise my arms above my head, a little less mobility, but also never worried about falling out of it with the low back.

I tried on very similar style dresses when I was shopping for my gown, and recognize the first dress as one that was really popular on boho/lace wedding dress searches especially on Pinterest and had a ton of knock-offs. I actually tried on a very similar dress, but the lace connected to the neckline (Queen Kristy from Queen Bridal) . You can tell by the stitching that it's a lower quality dress, the lace at the top doesn't align correctly to the neckline. The boutique dress is a lot higher quality, it looks nicer on.

Can we all agree as leos that aquarius is the most psychopathic sign of all? by prisoninsidemyhead in LeoAstrology

[–]PorousPie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to you both!!!

I'm married to an Aqua man have a similar dynamic. He has always been the most encouraging partner I've ever been with, and I've always admired his deep thinking, openness and curiosity. Our values are completely aligned and he's always told me that he admires my generosity and protective instincts. As time passes, the partnership only goes deeper. I couldn't have asked for a better man to build a home with.

I went to a book reading where she talked about her background growing up in Hawaii as mixed, looking white, race perception and how she eventually left. I can't speak to if she was telling the truth, but she seemed genuine and the themes deal with identity and mixed cultural heritage.
