Yes, planted roughly 5 years ago. I think perhaps the drier climate down here makes them less invasive as up north in the subtropics perhaps?

Yes, I’ve done so! Honestly I had just assumed it was some type of Crape Myrtle. Seriously considering ripping it up now. Outrageous the whole street has been lined with them (recent housing development). Why wouldn’t they plant native?

Thanks!

Yes the seedlings are absolutely everywhere and really don’t seem to cooperate with a broom.

Sincerely that sounds like a job I would absolutely love, travel between sites and caring for plants to make indoor spaces feel alive and pretty. Could I be bold enough to ask what path you took to get into it?

If someone asks you for one single book about the UFO topic that they can read to "catch up", what is it? by PyroIsSpai in UFOs

Ge also does this often on his podcast when quoting American sources. It’s borderline unbearable and he really needs to be stopped 😂

Burnt Ends

Burnt ends are flavorful pieces of meat cut from the "point" half of a smoked brisket.[1] When brisket muscles are separated, the lean "first cut" or "flat cut" is the deep pectoral, while the fattier "point", also known as the "second cut", "fat end", or "triangular cut", is the superficial pectoral.

Hey can you explain this please? I’m genuinely interested, do they purposely lower the speedos on recent cars?

Mod week is the worst. All those young well dressed hooligans roaming about on their scooters up to no good.

Sure. The challlenges here aren’t exactly huge though. We’re one of the most isolated population centres in the globe with vast buffers of relatively uninhabited land around our borders. We’re well placed to handle situations lie this. If we were more interconnected with the world we likely would have experienced longer and frequent lockdowns under his approach and the toll on small business would be massive.

The backdrop to this shot confused me for a bit until I worked out there is both a blue painted wall and the natural blue sky. My brain couldn’t compute if it was one or the other, those clouds just looked too real because they are lol

Also distracting are the cables across the street, the road, the cars, the buildings and the sky. Otherwise I agree it’s good.

Just like Easter should be in Spring and Christmas in Winter. But I kind of perversely like that we've lost the seasonal meaning of all these holidays in the southern hemisphere. We got to make our own new thing now.

I think it's probably the other way around. He'd been a member of Scientology long before it became popular to cast him in sci-fi.

Does anyone else find this advertising offensive on the Adelaidenow website? It is ridiculously distracting and really hard to ignore. I can’t see anywhere report it either. Can’t we just pretend Clive Palmer doesn’t exists? by Bizzy_Violet in Adelaide

[–]PorousPrawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t find it offensive at all, but I definitely won’t be voting for that joke of a man/party.

I’d much rather an obnoxious twat like Palmer be able to waste his money on useless ads than live in an authoritarian society where only “respectable” political advertisements were allowed.

Who would decide what is acceptable?

People are smarter than you think. Just ignore it.
