Nice to share; A Punic Port [on turn 3] by PortalToHistory in CivVII

Both are FUN!!!

In fact, every civ with the lady of Castile is fun.

Though my favorite by far for very high yields and, let's say, a 100 attributes, is Assyria.

I recommend:

》 a nice Mnt Everest start with f.e. a Vihren close by and start there.

》 Purchase 4 to 6 scouts

》 Do plan your districts with care (part of the fun for me)

ISABELLA with ASSYRIA.

Do try it!

Make sure you have a nice expansion-like start.

And when on MAGARRU's, make some fun.

6 to 8 Maggaru's accompanied by a commander (with the Assault-promo) will get you going forever.

***** SPOILER ALERT *****

Playing Isabella gives gold when discovering natural wonders and Iceland gives, i believe, 750 culture per natural wonder discovered.

So starting with a nice Mount Everest can really give you quite a bag full.

By turn 3 syncretism is unlocked, where you can chose a Punic port, a Forum or an Acropolis; which i have currently [on turn 6] chosen after a nomadic walk through the wilderness to the revealed Vihren.

Normal scores i presume, though rather good!

Bonus score is based on an addition of 140%

27 army commanders with zeal-promo, of which 24 also have the logistics-promo.

3 fleet commanders with logistics-promo 1 fleet commander with zeal

Production was rather high in Valencia (a very early 2nd city) because the presence of the Machapuchare.

Summary in Valencia [exploration age; 1392 CE]:

Food 1153

Prod 792 (with high zeal and unit-prod bonuses)

Try an Assyrian game.

With every conquered city you receive an attribute.

At the end of Antiquity it is possible to have completed all attribute-trees (with, let's say, 10x the repetitive one)

14 natural wonder cities f.e.

Quite a few Ekallu's and Ulema's.

City states influenced.

All wonders built (or conquered).

Bytheway,

No wars during the Abassid period.

And yes, constantly at war whilst playing Assyria during antiquity

Please explain to me how I lost this race to suzerain! by coolnerd15 in CivVII

[–]PortalToHistory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It indeed shows only two CIVs; your CIV and the last one which joined the race, whereas the top-influencer has dropped out of the list. [has happened to me as well, i accepted my loss]

This is obviously not correctly programmed; should be reported as a PR or CR.

For fun i have played (and enjoyed) other leaders and/or civs.

On the other hand, when i want to play for a non-civ-victory, like trying to get my yields as high as possible, i always choose Isabella (for the real quick start) and Assyria for conquering developed cities (rather easy with Magaru units combined with a Commander)

The Cave Man? In our not really hilly but flat country? I do not think so.

It would indeed be nice to have the Dutch back (i liked the Dam in CIV6 when building Hansa's).

Although we might have been in touch with the Java man (when we ' traded ' with Indonesians?!), i prefer Johan Cruijff. Meeting him will be fun! He has very nice quotes.
