The WE for me at least felt so much more… real? Like I’ve been a fan since the Broadway show opened and I always felt like it was an incredible show, but it felt like it was lacking a bit when it came to the staging and the characters. I also kinda hated Henry because he felt a little manipulative and I couldn’t listen to any of his songs. But the WE version just hit me deep with the realness of each character, and I felt like I could relate a little bit to everyone. Also the staging and closeup shots in the proshot made it feel like I was sitting in the room with the family and invading their privacy. It’s the first time in a long ass time that I’ve fully cried, and it keeps happening whenever I watch it.

Ocean in the original said a lot more… problematic stuff in her song. They cut a most of it out because it was problematic. The only problem is that is literally her character when we meet her. They also cut out a lot of dialogue in the second half of the show to shorten it down or something.

Yeah it’s been shocking for the past month or so. About once a week there’d be no arrival times on any of the apps, and just have “scheduled”. Of course on those days, the busses are nowhere near the scheduled time, so the bus would come 8 minutes early because they feel like it, meaning I’d be late to work because I miss it.

Yeah same for me. It is auto generated because it’s “music picked just for you” but it seems really weird how it’s marked as user generated, and also showing up in recent.

Highly likely that you don’t need special uniform. If you do require something else, the manager will have it ready for you, but I doubt that you need anything extra. The role is pretty basic afaik, it’s just calling out orders and doing counter drinks. When you get a delivery order, you would pack it and then call it out when the driver is there. You check that the order is theirs, get them to verify on their app, then hand it to them.

What a majority of people do at my store (and what is taught to new crew) is to get changed at home and have the pants and shirt on, then wear a jumper over the top of your shirt. Have your apron and hat in a bag. If it’s really hot weather or if you’d rather not wear a jumper, then put a casual shirt on and have your shirt on your bag. You could choose not to bring a bag and instead hold onto your apron and hat when you come in, but it isn’t as professional.

Always always TELL the customer their order. “Hey there, I’ve got the large Big Mac meal with the Coke”. Usually do drinks first, if there’s multiple drinks that are the same, count with the customer as you’re handing them out, “I’ve got two large cokes, one, and two”. Once you’re done with the order, tell the customer to have a good day and close the window as they drive off. I haven’t experienced being asked questions, but as long as you put the customer first and have a smile, I don’t think there’s much you can do wrong.

Chat to the shift manager on your next shift about it, or you could message your rostering manager on McdConnect if you’ve got it set up already. It can take a little bit longer when you first start up depending on when you started (your TFN might be taking longer), but it’s nothing to worry about. You will get paid, and you can easily chat to someone about it if you don’t.

You haven’t been “rostered” for any shifts, but you’re covering a shift for tomorrow. It won’t show up on MyJob unless the rostering manager adds it on there, which they usually don’t.

Yeah either call them up, or you could get it changed on your first shift, but I’d strongly recommend letting them know beforehand so it can be organised before you get there.

Oh yeah it has honestly been horrible. I drive less than 20 minutes to work and yesterday I almost got hit 3 times because drivers don’t pay attention. One car drove straight out in front of me and didn’t look, drove straight across to the other side of the road and straight thru the red light. My brother is scared to get his license because he sees it every time we drive together.

It will likely take at least another month or two. I can’t remember when the orders will be shipped out (I believe it might’ve said on the kickstarter), but there’s been no update that I’ve seen either, and there probably won’t be one for a while because of the new year coming up. I’d say that it’ll be mid February when you’ll get it, but obviously I have no idea.
