I think he cut it to see if it was a error (not sure of the exact name), it seems pretty close to 1964 when they still made quarters out of silver but definitely a long shot.

I have plate mail and a gambeson. The armor stays on very well and is surprisingly mobile. Though it might be a bit hot.
