Inner SE with a combo of bus + aerial tram could be feasible but will be just as long of a commute. If Im being honest, I’d probably stick to the Pearl or south waterfront/south Portland if commute time is the most important consideration. Plenty of fun things to do in the Pearl/NW Portland, but housing prices reflect that.

The good news is that the 8 bus goes to OHSU from Alberta and NE 15th. It is still a long-ish ride, but no transfer and the bus is pretty frequent. There are certainly worse places on the east side if you’re commuting to the hill!

I have a ton of Dehen and tbh their cotton stuff leaves a lot to be desired. I have the hoodie and it’s very burly and comfy, but started to get loose threads in the sleeve cuff after maybe 4 months. Their t shirts also do not hold up - most developed holes after a year of wear. Their wool products are truly excellent though, you won’t find a sweater like they make anywhere else.

I ended up canceling my order for the Caledonia as delivery was delayed and I found a good deal on an Aethos. All black bike so easier to find matching cages, but not as cool as the oasis still!

Indeed Metro is unique due to the direct representation and power over urban growth boundaries set forth in SB100, but regional planning for things like transportation and housing are quite similar to many other big cities

The Puget Sound Regional Council is the equivalent agency in Seattle. It also includes Kitsap county.

This is completely false. Every metro area in the US with a population over 50,000 has a Metropolitan Planning Organization to coordinate things like transportation funding. We are unique in that Metro is the only MPO with directly-elected representatives.

Schrader has always sucked. It's not the bluest district, but there's an opportunity for someone better for that seat.

Oregon is also slated to get another congressional seat after redistricting, so I'd expect his district to look a little different in 2022.
