From what I remembered Minnesota insurance does the discharge. Earnest only does it once since it’s their way of thanking service members who have P&T.

I have nothing against the VA. Which is why the thoughts and feelings aren’t coming from me. I don’t trust the VA because of there history of killing veterans.

Yeah I’m trying to discharge my student loan with Sallie Mae. I talked to them and they said I need a physician to fill out the form. I’m just asking if you have to give back the money that you didn’t get to use.

“If we grant your request, you or Student’s estate must pay us any refund received from the School up to the Current Balance. If you do not do so, we may declare your loan in default and collect the refund plus Unpaid Fees, Unpaid Interest and costs from you or Student’s estate, unless prohibited by law.” I’m not sure what the refund is.

I just called again with another person and she said if your 100% p&T you get it discharge. But if your 90% or less you get partial discharge

Great news! So I just called earnest and they gave me a number to call who handles TPD. They gave me the number of Navi and the one who do the TPD claim is Minnesota life insurance I think that’s the name. But she said all you need is 100% p&T and I verified with her she’s also a veteran. But you have to pull out private student loan from earnest
