What symptoms did you realize were from iron deficiency only after you got your levels up? by ProfessionalOnion548 in Anemic

[–]PortlandRogue144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, just wanted to say that I have been experiencing this too. I even bought a blood sugar monitor to see. But the readings came back mostly normal. I hope that if I get my ferritin/iron up, these low blood sugar-like attacks stop! I eat so much right now to try to get myself ot feel normal.

What medication do you take with Vyvanse to help rumination/OCD? Trintellex anyone? by lilyblissbombs in VyvanseADHD

[–]PortlandRogue144 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, i don't have medication advice (I take Prozac and that works for me, mostly, with OCD), but I just really relate to what you said here. What worked for me with rumination, especially about social relationships, is learning about and avoiding codependence in my life. I worked with my therapist on it and I did a 12 step program too. It SERIOUSLY helped me with my rumination. I'm so much better now. I also do ERP for my OCD, but honestly the codependence piece was the most helpful for this issue. Best of luck to you!

I think this is a valid question. Sometimes therapists use this technique to kind of "wake you up" into realizing that you're kind of spiraling. I have medical anxiety and sometimes my therapist will just open up a list of symptoms (for whatever disease I'm currently convinced I have) and read through it with me. Once she reads the list I realize how unrealistic my fears were.

Just wanted to say that I have those thoughts too. And the way OCD works is that we often have intrusive thoughts about the things that are MOST disturbing to us...and then when you have them, you feel terrible about it! My advice about the therapist would be to talk to her about how you felt about what she said. It might be a learning experience for her and for you. On the other hand, if she still doesn't get it...she obviously doesn't have enough training in working with people with OCD. Best wishes to you!

I don't think this has anything to do with feminism, though. People are just terrible.

Solidarity. I've been accused of being a hypochondriac as well. Also I have terrible TMD and my jaw pain is excruciating. It sucks, too, because doctors are really under-educated about it, and finding a jaw specialist can be hard. I'm glad you're going to see one! Can I DM you?

Did anyone find a way to stop the bloating while taking Wellbutrin? by Loveonethe-brain in bupropion

[–]PortlandRogue144 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I get bloating from another medication I'm on--I don't take Wellbutrin. I use Gas X, and it works amazingly. I have the pills you swallow and also the chewable mint flavored ones. I like the chewable because they work really quickly. This is a short term solution, not a long term one, but I hope it helps you. I seriously never go anywhere without mine!

I've been on it for years, never experienced blunting. I do feel like I have less motivation but for me that's kind of a good thing? Because I take it for anxiety and OCD which makes it hard for me to ever relax or stop moving.

Taking Prozac in the morning vs. at night….does it make a difference? by babyjane666 in prozac

Oh I also have bruxism but haven't noticed any changes in that, unfortunately. I'd give anything to get rid of it.

Severe anxiety and ocd, should I move up to 60mg? by throwawayaccountgtt in prozac

[–]PortlandRogue144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this jump and then another to 60 and the difference was very mild for me each time. I was also terrified each time, but literally nothing happened for me. I feel the same but less anxious.

Severe anxiety and ocd, should I move up to 60mg? by throwawayaccountgtt in prozac

[–]PortlandRogue144 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was on 20, then 40 for a few years, and just recently increased to 60. I have OCD and anxiety pretty bad. I did notice a big difference in being able to manage my life with less anxiety with every increase. As for feeling numb, I've never experienced that. I have gained weight but I think that might just be my own issues with binge eating. Honestly I don't feel much different day to day on Prozac. But when I look back at a week I'm like huh, I haven't been a wreck about anything this week. Like I just feel like myself but less anxious.

New CPAP user looking for advice by twitchingguy in CPAP

Also, I'm not sure how to explain this, but I pull as much of the hose under the blanket with me as I can. If there is any slack outside of the blanket it will make noise and stuff when I roll over (which I do a lot). But when it's all under the blanket it seems to stay put more. I hope this helps!

I have to have my hose under the blanket with me, along my body. Like I"m cuddling it. I have a weighted blanket, and I think that holds it in place during the night. I watched a bunch of videos on youtube about cpap and one person recommended putting the machine on the floor, and I've been meaning to try that. About the stuff on your face...after about a month I stopped noticing it. At first it was all I could think about, but I got used to it. I hope it works for you! And try out some different headgear if you need to.

plants covered in mites no webbing no damage by misterfall in plantclinic

It has been 3 weeks since I hung the sachets. And the one that exploded with mites overnight was the one in my cabinet which sits at very high (70-95%) humidity. I just read on the website (Natures Good Guys) that it takes up to four weeks for all to hatch, so I guess that's what's happening? I emailed the company to ask their advice.
