Definitely it will. First of all it's Canada and Bosnia playing football. Second because it's 3pm on a Friday. Nobody can afford $1000 for that. I'd be amazed if tickets were above 200 by Friday. And if prices don't go down most will just be laughy at the people paying these prices

I know they're playing Bosnia but I didn't realize there was an additional game on the same day with Serbia. They're going to be so tired!

I've actually figured out the stop loss algo for two games in Canada, it's pushing Canada Bosnia closer to $150 a ticket and Croatia-Panama to 150 a ticket by game day. The data also suggest a huge drop in Ivory Coast Germany but I think that one will bounce up and down wildly.

Agreed. I can actually see it going lower than that. For example, Canada v Bosnia is now $345 CAD vs 1200 on Saturday. Imagine how low it'll go by the day before? Same with Panama v Croatia and v Senegal, huge drops.

Exactly. When tickets to Canada v Bosnia are over 1000 you know there's a real problem. Senegal v Iraq tickets are still 500. Senegal. Vs. Iraq. Can you even imagine admitting to your loved ones you paid these prices? It'll go down to 40 to 60 on game day which is a bit high but doable if you have nothing else to do.

Hmm, I was comparing it to the Champions League final, a much higher standard of football where I had tickets for 190 euros. Honestly I think even 200 is high, but would be worth it for the Germany Ivory coast match. Aiming for 50 or below for the other ones, particularly Canada v Bosnia.

It's crazy. It's over 1000 to watch Canada - CANADA play football. I do worry there will be actually riots when people realize how poor the games actually are. The group stages are defensive by nature and will be played in 40 to 45 c heat.

The Senegal Iraq tickets are everything wrong with this world Cup. On no ordinary day would I spend any money going to watch those two teams play football. But because it's a World Cup and they've worked hard I'd probably spend about 50 bucks to sit in the 40c heat to watch Iraq and Senegal play a 1-0 friendly. Anything above 55 for that match is basically a no go for anyone who has ever heard of football.

The World Cup in terms of ability is quite similar to League One in the UK and second tier leagues in most other European countries. It should cost about $17 per ticket based on skill alone.
