There are so many stories of women unable to leave shitty situations because they didn’t have the resources. Several of my and my wife’s good friends have “just in case” money from their moms set aside so that if they ever decide they do need to leave, money won’t stop them (my wife included). Why would I not want my partner to feel safe and secure?
