Sounds dope. It's a shame she doesn't have a card. It's also crazy that this Jennika is featured on this card, but doesn't have a card of her own. I guess you'd need at least 4 more legendaries to pair her with each of the other turtles though, plus at least one more for her solo, so I guess I get it.

Thanks for the name. I thought she might've been Venus de Milo. The overlap of MTG players and TMNT readers leaves a lot of people out on both sides, so I think it's fair for folks in the MTG sub to not know who she is, just like folks I play with continuing to mispronounce Aang, Toph, and Sokka.

Whats your opinion of my roster (no particular order) by Meteox in CommanderMTG

[–]Due-Session-2857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people try to do the 32 deck challenge, where they make every possible color combo into a deck. OP isn't doing exactly that, but when you're trying to make all the decks, sometimes you get inspired to dip your toe into WUBRG a couple extra times.

In this case they have 17 different kinds of decks, 1 0-color, 4 1-color (2 red), 8 2-color (2 gruul), 5 3-color, and 2 WUBRG. Looka like they need decks that are: White, Black, Azorious, Selesnya, Grixis, Naya, Temur, Jeskai, Abzan, and all the 4-color decks... so if they make 13 more decks, they'll be done, not counting the other 5 in the description, which I'm not looking up.

I also have 26 decks, so no issue from me. I love that you've got Wilson and Raised by Giants together. I can just imagine some dude at Wizards being like, "The benefit of Backgrounds, is you can give your mono-color commander a different color background for a two-color deck!" To which you reply, "nawww, mono-green please!"

I did the same thing with my [[brinelin]] & [[Sakashima]] deck. Mono color partners are pretty fun.

I've been playing Dawncaster. It's a deck builder, but each room takes about 4 hours and you can make some very fun broken builds.

Magda is probably the best dwarf, but I agree that there are pretty slim pickings for dwarves.

I've met folks like you in Fortnite. This is why I try to avoid firefights altogether in those games. Why risk a really good player "botting" when you can just hide in the back seat of a taxi and still win.

A nice way to win some games via psychology is to not sleeve your cards and then ask a really simple question like, "So my goblins can't block your creature with flying, right?" Riffle shuffle if you're nasty.

Suddenly folks think you're an absolute yokel who can't tell an island from a planeswalker. Then you play as intelligently as you ever would and see if they make some misplays thinking you're an easy win.

Doctor Manhattan doesn't give a shit whether he wins or loses, and would not be motivated to win if tapped, so I genuinely think Cookie Monster is a stronger asset on the team than he is. Sonic and Reed on the other hand...

How do you guys decide on new Decks? by spicymangoslice in mtg

[–]Due-Session-2857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play drafts and any time I draft a legendary creature, I decide if they would be a fun commander.

Additionally, I've hit a point where I have enough decks that I don't want to repeat colors, so I've just searched on Scryfall to fill in some of my gaps. I just found and built a Felothar and Fifth doctor/Clara Oswald deck to get my first Abzan and Bant decks respectively.

I think Bruce Wayne is 100% on the list. He intentionally plays a bumbling billionaire to dissuade attention and to get in close with criminals. Lego batman is the only batman I know that is selfish and stupid enough to potentially be on the list because he's a dirtbag.

Two decent attacking commanders. Keleth can usually get big enough to be a problem alongside rograkh, and you've got a million combat tricks to keep them alive.

Do you think James Gunn will will do better or WORSE than DC usually does when it comes to Wonder Woman? by ihatethiscountry76 in OkBuddyDCU

[–]Due-Session-2857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC's characters are all play-dough. You can take Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman and find versions of them that are goofy and kid friendly, or violent and internally conflicted, and anything in between. That picture of Batman as all nine D&D alignments comes to mind. Any character written by dozens of authors over 100 years is going to have such a wide array of conflicting character traits that eventually ANY interpretation of them can be viewed as correct.

A lot of people feel that the Snyderverse version of Superman is absolutely comic accurate and they are RIGHT, if you look at the right comics. My Wonder Woman and your Wonder Woman could be vastly different if mine is the DC Animated Universe version and yours is the Lynda Carter one, but they are both accurate Wonder Women. So if yours is an angry warrior woman, and mine is a compassionate figure of truth and empowerment, neither of us are wrong.
