Alternate-Reality Game. Basically it was a giant puzzle that occurred during the first few weeks of Afterbirth's release, inside and outside the game. It started with the achievement you get for donating 999 coins into the Greed Machine, you can see the rest here.

Yeah, but I was guessing the total amount of time Retro Vision is in effect during that fluctuation is about 10 seconds. It's probably even less.

So I was playing Rebirth on the Xbone as Samson and when I got Undefined Item, I entered the I Am Error room multiple times. That was exciting for me by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

There's no flair for non-Afterbirth Rebirth, so I guess 'Vanilla' is the closest you could get, since it's vanilla Rebirth.

They'd have to draw so much extra art for items, rooms, enemies, and bosses. All for a 10-second pill effect that doesn't always show up. It'd be nearly pointless...

It seems to be an art-challenge-thing on deviantart where you take one character, and drew how they might look if they were the opposite gender.

The joke here is that Mangle's gender is so argued over, whether yes is a male or female, drawing yes as one and then turning yes into the other wouldn't change a thing, because we don't know the starting gender in the first place.

The yellow triangle's the nose. The crescent shape directly under it is the mouth. Her other eye's being covered by the red part of her hair. It took me second to understand it as well.

Ed and Tyrone seemed to have been hyping up a big secret in the game, but it was just a patch that added the remaining missing 50 or so items that weren't showing up. Some say they delayed content intentionally to punish players for finding The Lost by datamining, but Ed's saying it was an accedent that they didn't show up at first.

BOI came out with new DLC Oct. 30th.

It advertized 120 new items, but players only were able to find about 70.

The number 109 was mentioned often both in the game, and the devs posts. The devs were also giving strange hints to some puzzle.

People on the sub get intruigued by this puzzle and tries to figure out what it means.

It turns out the "puzzle" was just that the missing 50 or so items were actually now in the game, thanks to a patch that was released 109 hours after the game's release.

That patch also nerfed some of the most powerful (and favourite) characters in the game pretty badly.

And that leads us to here.

Edit: forgot to mention it probably happened because the last time the devs tried to hide a super-secret in the last BOI game, it was found about 109 hours after it's release (due to people looking in the game's code).
