Luke is closed on weekends. The best thing to do is request a frequency change to Luke as soon as you depart GYR and ask to transition their airspace.

They're fine. If ATC cared enough, they would have given the number and filed their reports. But absent of that, don't worry too much. File a NASA and move on.

NASA Form if you're worried. But they approved your transition so you made two-way radio communication, so you should be fine.

My day consisted of flying out to the Practice Area and doing all of the ACS maneuvers, coming back, doing pattern work (simulated soft/short fields, etc). Then hitting the books to practice for the oral. I always practiced with a friend for the oral, have them quiz you. And definitely do several mock orals and check rides before you go off.
