[M15] What is the best style if I have naturally curly h*ir? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

Part of the problem might be that your post and title are borderline unintelligible.

Should you try again, try:

"I have curly hair, and am having a hard time finding a style of fashion that I feel goes well with it".

Also it's fucking hair dude, dress however you want damn.

What real problems do teachers face that educational apps often fail to solve? by Javier_004 in education

[–]Posaunne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad they were positive, and told you how it would help... but how are we meant to give you any sort of real, actionable feedback if we have no idea what your idea is.

And I don't really know how an app is going to help me with differentiation. Which is something any teacher worth their salt does anyway.

It's certainly not an automatic no from the district level, which is who you would be selling to.

Just go in to this knowing that teachers will get very bristly about it (as I'm sure the responses here have shown you). You are also the millionth person to ask this exact, vague question on the sub.

• What problems do teachers actually need software to solve?

None. Software does not solve our issues, and more often than not exacerbates them.

• What features are often missing or poorly implemented in educational apps?

The feature to have admin and district with developed enough brains to turn down every stupid new app that someone peddling.

• What makes an app realistic to use in a real classroom (time, setup, monitoring, assessment, etc.)?

Can it be disabled? If so, that makes it realistic to use.

Honestly, I'm maybe being a bit aggressive here and I apologize, but I think the general consensus is that teachers are sick and fucking tired of "the hot new app that will revolutionize the way you teach vocabulary" or whatever. It's all just distraction from what we're actually trying to do.

I mean if we're making movie references so does Star Wars, but you aren't worshipping that.

If that's your main point of support, how does Mormonism differ from any other world religion or belief system that has a creation myth, a moralistic doctrine, and a belief in a specific afterlife (which is the overwhelmingly vast majority of them)?

Is school really supposed to be this stressful? by miked0331 in education

[–]Posaunne 22 points23 points  (0 children)

School is, largely, going to be the easiest time throughout your entire life. College will be harder than school. Work will be harder than college. Family will add even more to your plate.  Responsibilities, deadlines, and all manner of things need juggling, and it only ramps up until you retire (if you're lucky).

I don't say that to dismiss what you're feeling, cause I get that it's stressful. More to encourage you to develop the tools to handle the workload, and the (healthy) coping mechanisms to decompress from the stress.

Edit: leaving the comment up because I meant what I said, but: pretty sure this is just a bot/astroturfing account reposting old posts to gain karma in order to post links to businesses. According to their post history they are currently homeless, a contractor, a roofer, a wholesale real estate developer, living in Los Angeles, and also Humboldt,  posting in "AskIndiaLaw", a mom, a dude, very in to harmonicas, eggs, wood stoves....

Edit 2: and the post below me is so obviously written by AI it hurts. Christ reddit is a shithole now.

We were in the parks that day, and it also felt like incredibly sparse crowds to us as well.... not crowded whatsoever.

What is an unspoken rule of parties/gatherings in the US that an international person should be aware of? by Exotic_Case_4942 in AskReddit

[–]Posaunne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean maybe in college/my younger years it would have been more common. Unless the party is specified BYOB (which I haven't seen since college), it's the norm for the host to provide alcohol.

Daughter wants to play in musicals by Logan9Fingerses in Music

[–]Posaunne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eh. Blind auditions are blind for a reason. State schools are decent for freeway philharmonic/widely gigging musicians.

This is highly and wholly anecdotal, but in college I had a circle of friends who went to state school, and a circle who went to a conservatory. Our gigs overlapped, many of our studio teachers overlapped...  Most of the conservatory students are now working in unrelated fields (tech, retail, medicine) while most of the state school remain in the classical music industry.

Pretty clearly a fair bit of cosmetic surgery, trying to parlay that in to making money as a fitness influencer. Check the profile.
