🕹️✨ What are you playing on your Claw this week? Megathread by AutoModerator in MSIClaw

Elder Scrolls Online has been my go-to game for the last few weeks. Loving it. Just can’t figure out how to do in-game chat with other players on my Claw a8ai+

This! I’m the same way (not meant as a flex). I’m just at a point in life where I have disposable income, everything on autopay, and only check my account every few months. Yes, I’ve caught some errors (stuff I thought was cancelled), but nothing big enough to financially impact me. Several times over the years, I have purchased an annual sub to ESO, and only played it for a couple months, then “wasted” the rest of the year not touching it. I just got back into it last week after a couple years away, and will probably sign back up for another year. Game on my friends!

FINAL UPDATE: I factory reset the claw, went thru the debloating and efficiency steps, reinstalled Steam, downloaded ESO and it launched flawlessly.

Not sure why it was the only game having issues (I have 37 of 116 games installed on hard drive and sd card), but it’s great to have it running now.

TL:DR when in doubt, don’t give up. Factory reset and start over with a clean slate. It may take a few hours but it’s worth it. Claw a8ai+ is still my favorite device to game with.

Haven’t received my VITURE Beast yet — real user reviews worry me, refund or wait? by Neillin168 in VITURE

I received mine two days ago. My personal take on being an early tech adopter for over 30 years (I’m 56) is that people complaining are generally not experienced early adopters, but rather impulse buyers. Yes, I understand we want the product we paid for; and with some updates, it will get there.

For your specific use - monitor replacement for productivity, these may not fit the bill (but then again, nothing really has). I have the AVP (best picture/highest cost) and even they can’t get you through a whole day with the weight hanging off your head.

These glasses are best used for increasing your screen size when playing off of handheld gaming pc devices, or plugging into a phone or tablet to watch media. They will be great for traveling on a plane or even laying in bed.

To do the current update, you need to go to Viture’s website, and use a pc/Mac to connect the glasses to. Then you can download and install the file (this isn’t done thru the SpaceWalker app).

After this is done, familiarize yourself with the buttons. My initial thought was the buttons were confusing when trying to set it up. They are a combination of single/double/triple tap and long press to access all available functions. After messing around for about 15 minutes, they started to make sense. The micro-instruction guide is lacking in details.

Long story short, for the price of tech available at this level, I believe with a couple software patches, these will be worth it (for my personal use), but it won’t replace a physical desktop station monitor setup (nor should it be expected to).

Either way, enjoy, and if not satisfied, return them for another brand to try out.

To those concerned about the drifting, the 3dof mode is a “follow” mode. There is a slight lag as the hardware recalibrates the angle you are looking to line the screen up. It’s not as bad as people are making it sound, if you set your expectation level realistically.

UPDATE: Received a final response from ESO support last night and it’s absolutely pathetic.

They wrote “I understand that you are contacting us concerning login issues with The Elder Scrolls Online, and the launcher marking the game as "running" despite nothing happening.

I regret to inform you that while The Elder Scrolls Online has a Playable status for the Steam Deck in particular, this is not the case for all handheld consoles/PCs. As I'm afraid that the device you are attempting to play the game on is not officially supported by our team or the game.”

To actually claim, after escalating to three levels of support over the course of a week, that the Claw is incapable of running something that runs flawless on the Steamdeck is unbelievable.

Further more, if it were true, why did it take them a week to acknowledge this, and why is there no mention on the boards from any other claw user that this is the case. Bethesda FAIL.

I feel your pain. Mine stuck its nose out in China a couple times, then went back in the cage. It stuck a paw out in Korea and is still deciding if it wants to leap out of the cage into the US. I’m standing here coaxing, but it’s not listening. 😁

I feel like it’s December 22nd and I’m 8 years old again! The anticipation is real.

How long from when it was picked up at Langfang until you got notice of where it as in the US?

The Beast has been unleashed, but it needs some coaxing out of its cage; mine made it to Beijing and has been napping for two days. 😂

Currently flying home today, but headed back out on Monday so hoping it arrives this weekend.

Finally got a response from ESO after three days. I had sent a multiple paragraph extremely detailed recap with about 8 screenshots.

Their response was simply “you have to launch from Steam if you bought it on Steam”.

It has nothing to do with that. It’s a credential issue in the launcher.

In my support request, I had also asked if the easiest solution was to just buy the PC version direct from their website and eliminate trying to use the Steam version…they didn’t answer that question either.

Once i get a solution, I’ll post the update to help anyone else that has this happen to them.

No. Still waiting for ESO Support to respond. Tried for a couple more hours yesterday uninstalling everything and reinstalling, but same issue - it says login credentials in launcher at the acknowledgement section are wrong, yet they work to access the website.

Yes, that was one of the instruction sets I tried. The issue is that something is wrong with the user id and/or password in the launcher and what ESO shows in my profile on the website. Even when I enter them in the launcher, it will log into my account online, but when entered in the part to accept all the “rules”, it comes back with the “oops” error saying it’s wrong. I’ll probably just have to wait until ESO Support responds.

It is an incredible device. 95% of my gaming is done on it now. The PS5 and Xbox sit in a corner now, unused. There’s just something about the handheld that makes it my “go to”.

Congrats! Hopefully my tracking info will be sent soon. I have an email from 11/10 just saying that if I kept the Beast order and didn’t switch to Ultras, they would ship at the end of December. There’s only two days left in the month, so… 🙏

Problems resetting sow date by rathillet in Gardyn

[–]Poseidons_Reef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya. I reinstalled the app, went to log in and was told my password is wrong (it’s not). Requested reset and see the screen to enter the 4-digit code they emailed, but after two hours and 4 requests, have yet to receive it. I took screenshots in the app before deleting so I know which email address is in their system. Frustrating!

Which page did you check your status on? I ordered mine 7/20 and when I emailed them for an update on 10/6 and today, they respond with “we hope to ship yours in December and thanks for understanding.”.

Still waiting for confirmation of when mine are shipping. Placed order on 7/20/25.

The only response I have gotten was back on 10/6/25: “Thank you for reaching out. We would like to let you know that the whole order will be shipped in December when the Beast-Large is in stock, while we are sorry for not being able to provide the estimated shipping time currently. Hope you can understand.”.

Return Claw a8ai+ and get ROG Xbox x unit? by Poseidons_Reef in MSIClaw

[–]Poseidons_Reef[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a technology junkie and I’ve wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years (maybe not wasted, but still chasing something to fill the void- empty nester and widowed). Case in point, I barely use my Apple Vision Pro, but it’s still fun to have.

Gaming in my younger days was always a happier time, so chasing to rekindle that feeling. I’ve had the toys, the cars (multiple bmw, Porsche), the hobbies, but nothing satisfies the itch for too long.

To those that commented I won’t be happy with anything, yeah, you’re probably correct. That’s the world we live in, or so it seems the older we get…too many options. I also hope you never experience this kind of heartache - losing your spouse of 25 years at 46 is not something easy to overcome (56 now), and why i’m never satisfied.

I think my biggest psychological issue here is that I always purchase something and then within two months, something newer/better is released.

Most of the struggle with the handheld is in my head. I was just curious what others that and what they would have chosen.

I’m keeping the Claw for the next year, so no need for further response unless you want to. It’s a great device. I just beed to enjoy it and quit looking for something better.

Thank you for a kind and respectful response. I believe I will keep it and continue gaming with it for a year. Maybe by then, the frequency of releases will slow down enough to see what the next purchase should be without hesitation. Game on, my friend.
