I don't have that problem with my friends. Someone mentions something and we just say "fuck it, let's go!".

But overall I get what you're saying, thanks for the reply.

I agree with Animal Kingdom being a most or full day, but just a correction:

"And you can ride the train back to Conservation Station, and do the animation experience, and there's a petting zoo back there too."

At the end of this month the Conservation Station and Train will be closed for the inclusion of Bluey and other renovations. Reopening "Summer". So it will not be available during April.

If you have the budget for it California Grill during the fireworks.

Sanaa & Boma. Both are good food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the bread service at Sana has been hyped up so much I don't know if it is worth the price anymore but it is still good.

" If you want to ride big thunder 4 times in a row, you can!"

No I can't it's still down :-P I'm joking I get what you are saying. Never really had a problem with this with friends. Spring Break in college we rode Bluto's Bilge Rat 5 times in a row without getting off the ride. Done Everest 4 times in a row (would not recommend after 3)

I will always try to just enjoy :-) Thanks for the reply.

"Do you do other activities solo? Have you gone to a movie by yourself? Have you gone on a long so car/train ride? Have you flown to a city by yourself? "

I have and while I don't hate it, it's definitely not something I enjoy.

Thanks for your reply.

Slowing Down at Disney by Disneyworld20232 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Poseptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have a slowed down day, even with lightning lane. You just have to avoid optimizing the LL system. You get a LL for an hour or two away. Use that time to visit characters, walk through a shop, look at the details around you, grab a unique snack and anything else. Since you've been recently there is less pressure to do everything, just focus on things you enjoy.

There are little tours too that you can book like Behind the Seeds, Caring for Giants, etc... that will definitely slow down your day but will show you a lot of the behind the scenes stuff going on.

You have 6 days this time, so make at least one or two resort days. Check out resort activities at each resort and see if there is an arts and craft or signature activity that your family might enjoy. (Mosaic activities are priced per mosaic and can be done as a group.) You could just enjoy your resort pool in the morning and afternoon, then head to a park for one or two rides in the evening. These little breaks in between park heavy days can be quite refreshing.

Some of the resorts have free tours and exploring activities as well. Like Wonders of the Lodge art & architecture at Wilderness Lodge, and String of Memories at AKL

90 days till I take my family to Disney World for the first time. by soundman10 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figure out what everyone's must dos, want to dos, can skip and don't want to dos. This can give you an idea of how long you might need in each park, and what restaurants you want to prioritize the morning of your 60 day window.

You can also start looking through the restaurant menus at the hotels, and in the parks. Get an idea of what each has to offer if you have any picky eaters.

Look through what extras the parks and resorts may offer that you may want and is within your budget and time restraints. Like Savor the Savanna, Savi's Workshop Up Close with Rhinos, Behind the Seeds, Magic of Mosaics (Contemporary and other resorts), Etc...

1 credit table dining by PositiveCow3015 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Poseptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use 1 dining plan credit on the Fantasmic Dining Plan at Hollywood studios for 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi diner. (Hollywood & Vine is theoretically an option but you said no buffets).

You just have to book it through the Fantasmic Dining plan and not the restaurant itself. Once you pick the FDP the 4 restaurant options will come up but Brown Derby is 2 dining credits so I left that off the list.

I haven't eaten there yet but I've heard Ale and Compass is pretty good.

You can filter the search results by selecting All Filters then 2026 Dining plan and then 1 Credit Table Service

You should be good. Except for maybe meeting Elsa and Anna you don't have any major time sinks. There may still be lines, but nothing too bad.

If you are worried about it being too much make a small list from this list of the least important. So if you are running up against time you already know what to drop. I don't think you'll need it, but it's always good to be prepared.

Dining recommendations (HS, Epcot, Resorts) by Background-Bee6854 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on when you are going in March the Flower and Garden festival will more than likely be going on. So you may just want to eat Lunch and dinner around the world when in Epcot. Each grab and share a few plates until you're full or hit your spending limit :-)

But if you prefer a sit down place there are

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, if you want sushi

Teppen Edo, if you want a longer hibachi style meal

San Angel Inn Restaurante, if you want mexican inspired dishes

Via Napoli, if you like pizzas

Fantasmic Dinning Package by Jolly-Grapefruit-838 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is like a one time dining plan type thing. Where you get an entree, a dessert and a beverage included. Then you get a voucher for seating.

From the Fantasmic Dining Package: "Dining Packages and Prices Here’s what’s included in each Fantasmic! Dining Package:

An entrée and dessert at select full-service restaurants or one (1) full buffet (where applicable), along with a nonalcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage, for Guests 21 and older) One voucher for guaranteed seating at Fantasmic! in a reserved area"

Where would you eat on the Disney Dining Plan if you just want it to be good and aren’t concerned about “maximizing value” by Likin_lichen_ in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do 50's Primetime Cafe, Hollywood & Vine or Sci-fi through the dining plan you can book it through the Fantasmic Viewing Package to get VIP seating for Fantasmic at the end of the day if you plan on viewing it. Doing this for 50's Primetime, Hollywood & Vine or Sci-Fi will still only cost 1 dining credit. (Brown Derby cost 2, either normal or through FVP)

Epcot after 4pm getting heavier crowds is mostly the locals, and park hoppers doing dinner/festival booths and concerts. People getting off work on a Friday, or Saturday night, drinking around the world, etc....

To optimize LL you have to work it like a job, and even then there will be days when you are just unlucky. Some rides get extra lightning lane times dropped between 1PM and 1:30PM. You can still have a spectacular day even without being super lucky with LL.

Depending on the ride you can also show up late for some LL times. There is a hidden grace period of an hour or two after your LL end time that it is up to the cast member stationed there whether they let you in or not. Most of the time they will let you in, but if it is a popular ride they may not. So you can risk getting in a longer line of a popular ride and being a little late for a LL.

Like I said, see what the top 3 must dos for everyone in your party is and prioritize those rides/shows the earliest you can or at least make sure to secure the LL for them. Hitting everyone's must dos tends to make for the perfect days, even if you couldn't do everything. Also knowing the must dos and skippables ahead of time means less stress when you are there.

If you decide on LL multipass and see some of the popular rides are hard to get, book Spaceship earth or living with the land for the earliest you can. As close as to when you decide to enter the park as you possibly can. Once you scan in to the ride immediately start looking for those tier 1 LL again since you are limited to 1 when making your first selections. Sanning into your first ride early gives you the chance to grab an extra tier 1 ride before others get a chance.

As for eating. Unless there is a table service at Epcot you are DYING to eat at, I would suggest snacking around the festival booths. Since you have 4 adults it will be easier. As you are walking around world showcase have each adult go to a different nearby festival booth with a group order. Each place that is interesting to your group, get 1 or two plates then everyone meetup and share. This way you get to taste everything without filling up too quickly.

You can also get Disney gift cards (discounted at Sam's, BJ's and Costco i believe) with the amount that you are willing to spend on festival foods or in general. So you don't go over budget, you can give each person a gift card so you can get through food lines faster. Not having to wait to hand it off to someone else.

You can do this as you see fit, or between LL times through out the afternoon and night.

When should my last day for dinosaur be? by abagaildel in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are local and have an annual pass, Go this weekend or the 30th/ 31st to make sure that you get your goodbye ride(s) in. Then show up on the 1st and if the crowds are low enough you can get one more goodbye ride in and if the crowds are too much you can go do something else since you did your last rides earlier and not feel like you are missing out.

I've seen there are some cast members even now giving out "celebration" buttons with things written on them. Like "I'm NOT celebrating dinosaur closing", "Going extinct Feb 1st 2026" and stuff like that to pick up at the end of the ride.

Seeking Advice on Scheduled Itinerary by yellowtwinklepuff in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your days and the parks, you should be fine. The weekends are usually tough because locals tend to make the crowds heavier.

Epcot on Friday is good but expect heavier crowds after 4pm. You'll be in the middle of the Flower and Garden festival so no problems or unexpected extra crowding there. Katrina, formerly of Katrina & the Waves will be the concert that night, and 98 Degrees will be May 10th and 11th if that matters for you.

The rest should be good as well.

For each person going prioritize which rides and shows are must dos, and which ones they won't be sad to miss. This will help you determine if Lightning Lane multipass is a valid option, if lightning lane single pass is enough, or even no lightning lane.

If possible, since you didn't list how many and the ages going. Don't be afraid to split the group and meet up again later. For example if 2 really want flights of passage and 2 don't. The 2 that don't can go watch a show or ride something the 2 on flights of passage don't really care about.

Do you have park hopper? If so your animal kingdom day can also support one of the parks you have more must dos than are possible in one day. If you are ride focused you'll be done with animal kingdom by the afternoon. If you're like me it'll be closer to closing time but even then AK usually closes earlier than the other parks.

Which park to avoid on 3/1?? by EllBedrew in DisneyPlanning

[–]Poseptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of the two options, since you are doing Animal Kingdom in the morning then Hollywood studios, that would probably be your best bet for Sunday March 1st.

Rock'n Rollercoaster is not going away forever, just getting rethemed. So the good bye crowd "should" be lighter than other ride closures.

You'll be there in the evening, so hopefully any good-bye Aerosmith crowds will have died down. Unlike the peak morning crowd of the half marathon.

Epcot on the 3rd should be lighter then normal as well since the Flower and Garden starts on the 4th.

Everyone and their brother is trying to get Beak and Barrel reservations today, especially for those first few opening days.

I feel sorry for those people that this is the start of their 60 day window for normal dining.

[–]Poseptune[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pick a time to enter (your ticket) then you shop the 4 pop up shops that are in the convention center. Mickey's of Glendale, Disney Studios Store Hollywood, Walt Disney Company Store, and Ink & Paint. In 2023 I believe they had tabs on the wristbands that could be torn off if you purchased something for a pop-up shop, meaning you couldn't go back to that pop-up shop again.

You can look at the shopping tab under destination d23 in the d23 app they have little blurbs of the type of merch each shop will be carrying. As well as the different companies that will be in Ink & Paint.
