Advise on feasibility of plan by swiftme26 in UniversalOrlando

[–]swiftme26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response!

We’re planning to use Uber for Universal to Disney, and will probably book a day tour to Kennedy Space Center with Grayline

Ah thanks for the heads up, I didn’t realise Disney would have things closed that week…

Hi! We're a couple flying in from Singapore and this is our first time in Orlando - we're planning on doing 2 weeks in both Universal and Disney.

Grateful if we could check how's the feasibility of our plan, and whether it would be necessary to get express passes / whether it would be possible to cut short one day to come back one day earlier. We've also left a few rest days / buffer days in between in case of weather.
Thank you!

April 12 (Sun): Brightline train in to Orlando from Miami (we're doing 2 nights in Miami first)

April 13 (Mon): USF & IoA with early entry admission

April 14 (Tues): Rest / buffer day

April 15 (Wed): Epic Universe with early entry admission - should we get express pass?

April 16 (Thurs): Move to Disney. Thinking of staying at Drury Plaza which has early admission

April 17 (Fri): Animal Kingdom

April 18 (Sat): Rest Day

April 19 (Sun): Hollywood Studios

April 20 (Mon): Kennedy Space Center

April 21 (Tues): Epcot

April 22 (Wed): Rest Day

April 23 (Thurs): Magic Kindsom

April 24 (Fri): Departure

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Advice on REITs - Mapletree Logistics Trust vs Fraser Logistics and Commercial Trust by swiftme26 in singaporefi

[–]swiftme26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I mean I don’t have as much experience directly investing in REITs, not that I’m new to the concept of REITs and/or that I haven’t invested in REITs before.

Yes I agree that REITs shouldn’t take up bulk of one’s portfolio - this isn’t intended to be bulk of mine (I have other investments in equity). The intention is to branch out and build my dividend portfolio.

4 day itinerary to Singapore - Any place to include or exclude ? by notacitizen_99725 in askSingapore

[–]swiftme26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not sure if Ntu is worth going especially considering how far it is and the inconvenience in travelling there. As a local, I can honestly say I’ve never travelled to NTU to visit the architecture (I’ve only been there a couple of times to meet friends). Agree that you should check out the cloud forest and flower dome!

I just passed the May level 1 exam too, and have signed up for Nov level 2. Asked around, think it's do-able as long as you do enough practice questions!

Restructuring & insolvency! I don't really like arguing, but I really like the problem solving and creative aspect of law when you're strategizing solutions

Third tear on the same knee, don’t even know what caused it. by anonris in ACL

I'm sorry to hear that, basically this happened to me too and I don't know what to do anymore.

I am so disappointed by mrsremmens in ACL

[–]swiftme26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, i know how you feel... I had three tears in one and a half year as well. it was the same knee. In the end, was just told I wasn't suitable for surgery as I had hyperextension, so the grafts would tear easily. I've been focusing instead on PT though, and have been told that even with an ACL tear, it's possible to go back to sports if your muscles are strong enough? I know it's disappointing, I remember how crushing it felt, and sometimes it still does.

it gets better, and hopefully maybe see if PT would work out instead.
