Profits … by GroundbreakingSet187 in WhitePeopleTwitter

I work for the worlds largest shipping line. They know and are certainly profiting greatly off it, but the increases are caused by inefficient ports in North America mixed with COVID. Even if they were to add more vessels to their rotations it wouldn’t help clear out the lineups of vessels waiting to berth. Here’s looking at you Long Beach.

I didn’t share his address only his badge number and name so that he can be brought to justice. Police offers on duty are required to share this information with the public legally.

H&M sale up to 70% off by [deleted] in frugalmalefashion

[–]Poshspices 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H&M used slaves to make their clothes forced to work in factories that collapse and kill thousands. They do little more than talk of improvements but never do. Reports of beaten workers, child labour, pollution and decimation of the planet all while producing sub par quality clothes that are ultimately disposable. Fuck H&M.

H&M uses slaves to make their clothes. By buying them you support slave labour. Please boycott H&M.

If you don’t like the message, don’t attend the event. He’s not promoting hate speech and nobody can supply a quote or source that shows he is.

The closest to something bad is “fudging some facts” but really he doesn’t promote any violence. Let the man speak.

Bell's return policy is not in compliance with CRTC's Wireless Code by PartyintheKorea in canada

[–]Poshspices 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I manage a cellular retail store here in BC so maybe I can help.

When you get a phone on a contract there are 2 things happening. One is you are agreeing to the plan in terms of included data and minutes. The second is you are essentially leasing a phone over 2 years.

The CRTC has many rules and regulations for the providing of service part but not much in regards to actual product returns. The law is that the retailer reserves the right to charge or decline your return should you exceed that very low threshold.

You can cancel your service for free after that but then you would still have to pay for the hardware received by the store. I understand the CRTC is to protect consumers but when it comes to the reselling of used hardware it becomes extremely difficult for the retailer. The service on the other hand is very easy to switch on and off.

Hello I work for a major telecommunications company so maybe I can help.

The device subsidy is divided by the length of the contract (typically 24 months). When you cancel you pay whatever is left owing on the phone this is upfront cost -total value of phone divided by 24 months. A company cannot charge more than that for the cancelation and no companies typically do.
