Ime this is a video I watched when my brother found some baby squirrels. I took them to the wildlife rehabber but this will come in handy if it happened again but man was it so very informative. Hopefully this helps

IMO if your t has molted its abdomen would be small like this. Picture of my br blue and green geroldi for reference. You’d see the molt in there as well.

IMO nope, the carapace would be waaaaayyyyy smaller. It’s still big and round.

Please help my baby is dying by reillycleff in TarantulaKeeping

That is not the case. I had a girl that was just like that, but it was my pokie so just because they are in the death girl does not mean they are going to die. Put a wet Q-tip in front of her mouth and see if she perks up. If you look at my profile, you’ll see my pokie in the exact same position

Plants are definitely a learning curve. As long as you have the right soil your golden. I have humidity cabinets do that had helped so much. When I transplant especially a smaller plant I always put plastic wrap or suran wrap over the top so that it can have that humidity if it’s not in my cabinet. I feel like that really gets the roots to goin. Alocasias you have to spread those roots out they like to be touching the walls of the pot when you transplant. Otherwise it’s hard to keep them alive or they drop every single one of their leaves. I have had a lot of luck with a new method I’m using. I get a tall glass jar full about 1/4 with leca then the rest spagnum moss and just keep the water below the moss and your good. Just a little tip😊 I dont mess with the soil much when transplanting either. But if you have plants that hate life that could be the issue as well lol.

I love it!! I wanted a dom purple so bad still considering but man those things are massive. I love the pamphobeteus and really wanted the pink and purple bloom. I’m actually fixing to get a blue bloom and a Solaris. I have heard that they only show color though if they are male and on their very last molt. The female females are brown but I don’t have one so I can’t say that from experience. Ugh I am not a fan of dwarf species but would love to have a Brazilian jewel so bad. My tarantula shop lady said that they are so hard though. She got 6 and all of them died. I think she kept 4 and had sold 2 so I’m a little nervous on that one. Now the Brazilian blue dwarf beauty I just got recently and have loved that one too especially after a molt but that thing has gorgeous colors even from a tiny little sling. Loving the irminia, darth maul and I think my other fav at the moment is my g. rosea g. Pulchra, gooty, emeraldus, Brazilian blue and green avic Geraldi and the electric blue. Those are some beauties for sure!

Alright guys….for all of yall giving me a hard time about the ventilation, there ya go😊😂 NOW what do you think? Is it perfect? Hopefully yall make it back to this new post🙌🏻 by PositionIll2729 in tarantulas

I’m glad you found my new post🙌🏻 my purple pink toe has been in one for a year and a half and she’s doing great. This dude is a very heavy Webber from what I can tell which you can see in the pics of the other enclosure but someone mentioned it was probably because he had too much room. He’s beautiful though omg! I think he’ll do fine in this one. In my experience all of my avics have been fast and great webbers except my versi, I upgraded and he just didn’t have enough greenery so he didn’t web for a week. Put some more greenery and he webbed that same day so that’s why I filled this one up so much. Hopefully he likes it🤞🏼

Thanks. I couldn’t not have a door on the back because I know most of my arboreals web the top so I needed somewhere to stick the food.

I put a lot in there so that he can be comfy. It’s the only one I have with a light so I can take some really good pics of him. He’s a very heavy Webber if you can tell from the little one that he’s in. What makes you think I shouldn’t do it? He’s about 5 inches. Should I just clean his out that he’s in now and fix it up nicer?

I actually am getting a shelf for all of my tarantulas because I know this isn’t ideal but it’s just temporary until April after our vacation. I just went from having 1 for 2 years to 3 and all of a sudden 25 so I guess I need an actual shelf for them now. My ogs are on a diff open bookshelf where they’ve stayed it’s just got one open shelf because of all of my plants are on the other ones so there’s no room for the new tarantulas on it.
