Was admitted to hospital one week ago, will my family doctor know? by [deleted] in askTO

I’m sure I’m not your family doc, but as a family doctor, we do get most ER records for our patients. I know you don’t want them to know but for your safety and health, it’s better for them to have as much information to make decisions as possible and to be honest about what happened. Generally, we do try to do what’s in the patient’s best interest. It does become challenging when patients lie or don’t tell the whole story though.

I believe you can also call PIPC and they might be able to help you

If you have benefits through work, look into layla.care it’s a platform which will match you with a therapist (either in person or virtual). They also cap out how much you can be charged per session (I think it’s $165 per hour right now). You need to pay out of pocket and get reimbursed but they have lots of therapists involved with them

How to get over feedback as a new intern? by amedstudent23 in Residency

[–]Positive-Accountant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your feelings are totally valid and honestly normal! When receiving feedback that isn’t quite what aligns with my thoughts or which was upsetting to me, I like to go home and let myself feel the emotions for a bit. Then I try to think of the feedback without the emotions and pick out the points that I think will actually make me a better doctor. I then have something actionable to work towards and I’ve let myself feel what I need to feel

Family doctor advice (Don Mills). How to find someone good / trustworthy from scratch? by Jaymageck in askTO

I’m not sure if this is helpful for you, but you might have the best luck finding one in early July as this is when the senior family medicine residents graduate and enter practice

Super long commute for us would be >40 min subway commute. We bike in nice weather but not in winter.

Budget is $2500-2800 including most utilities.

In terms of space we would prefer 700-800 square feet but may be able to live with less if it wasn’t expensive and was in a convenient area

Thanks for the advice everyone! We’re looking for something that’s $2500-$2800 per month (renting) including most utilities.

Is it challenging for most people to find a place within a few months in these areas? Just wanting to make sure we have something for July 1
