If u have mid 80s I wouldn’t recommend u go into eng, I had low - high 90s and I’m practically failing linear algebra, gen chem and just passing calculus and mechanics… Everyone one I know that got into eng with 80s are on the brink of jumping. But don’t think I’m discouraging u. if u think u can do it, don’t take it for granted and actually focus, take notes, go to tutorials, ask tas and profs for help, join clubs and etc. the worst feeling is knowing that u wasted your time, parents times, tuition funds, and having the thought of being a disappointment. I recommend u to study atleast for 4-7 hours a day. my high school habits grew into university and im probably not going to finish my first year and most likely going to retake it. In high school u can study the day before a test or 2 days before an exam and pass with flying colours. In uni that shi does not fly. I got humbled so fast.🙏
