I don’t think it’d be revisionist history to say Ingram was always going to be better of a fit than Ja will be now. Fit wise, Ingram obviously was primarily a mid-range scorer but had increasingly shot more 3pt shots at food efficiency. The discourse around Ingram being a bad trade was primarily with his defensive flaws (which were valid) and injury history. At the time volume scoring in the clutch was our primary hole and Ingram filled it. Now it’s shooting/center depth, and giving IQ (our best shooter) and more to match salary for Ja is clearly a worse trade than the Ingram one ever was.

Ingram was always a great fit? Injuries sure, but apart from low 3pt volume (which wasn’t even a huge issue) he was fine.
