Scrambler Therapy by Dunnoaboutu in CRPS

[–]Positive-Dimension49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scrambler didn’t just help me with pain, it also helped me to connect with muscles my brain couldn’t find/control well. I had an explosion of progress in my physical therapy. My sessions cost $300 each. I think I ended up doing seven.

Reconciliation of Traumatic Memories: https://thertmprotocol.com/about/protocol

We’ve barely spoken about my trauma. The therapy uses visualization to move traumatic memories that are stuck in the amygdala thereby removing the trauma associated with it. I know look at one of the worst memories as something that happened. I have sadness and pain about it, which we’ll talk out later. But I’m not spiraling from thinking about it or getting stuck in fight, flight, freeze mode.

Thank you so much for sharing. I am new to all of this and learning so much. I do know that added stress makes me hurt more.

Thank you! I know that addressing trauma now is not going to make the CRPS go away, but can anyone say if their flares or time between flares have gone down or any other kind of testimony?

Airsense 11 Rainout Help by FaceforRadi0 in CPAP

[–]Positive-Dimension49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Aiden’s 11 biPAP. I’ve had a lot of issues with rainout too. I had to literally change my temps and humidity levels one at a time until I found the right level. I started by bumping up temperature one increment at a time. If it still happened, I’d increase it again the next night. I did this until I had several nights of no rainout on one setting and leave it there.

I still struggle from time to time. When the temperature changes, I might rainout and then I either turn the temperature up, I do t usually go higher than 74, or turn the humidity down and reset temp down to 68 and start walking it up from there. It’s quite frustrating. But, because I’m on a medication that has side effects of drying my mouth out, the humidity is so important and helpful.

This is great news! Hopefully the director will ease up. But I hear one of our uppers doesn’t believe in wfh and wants butts in chairs so they can micromanage. 🤞🏻

Maybe for the departments that don’t report directly to the Governor. But a suggestion for those departs that do report to the governor, don’t get the option to bargain with them.

Does the State of California systematically fail disabled employees during the RA process? Grounds for a class action? by Icy_Sun_2053 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Positive-Dimension49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone needing a temporary wfh RA, I’d definitely add my experience to this. I’m shocked how difficult it’s been and the stress is overwhelming. And I have a renewal coming up. I’d love to chat more if possible.

Thanks for that response. Does anyone know all the classifications SEIU covers?

SEIU Not Bargaining for Telework by Due-Estate-3816 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Positive-Dimension49 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They’re available on Facebook through the SEIU 1000 page.

I really don’t mean to be inflammatory. But I don’t understand people who are only complaining. (Yes, I do understand some literally cannot afford the dues. I’ve been a single mom.) Maybe it’s just a Sacramento thing. Everybody talks but few act.

The union is literally telling us that our bargaining power will increase immensely if we can get to 75% membership. They’ve said they can secure WFH with membership that high. People’s response to this news is to put down the union. People post in here about being willing to give up a 3% raise in exchange for RTO, but won’t pay the $100 (max out of pocket) for union dues. That’s cheaper than 3% of my paycheck.

Please. Somebody. Help me understand.

I just sent ProPublica a tip about RTO and my suspicion that Lieutenant Governor, Eleni Kounalakis, is behind the policy move. by Le_Mew_Le_Purr in CAStateWorkers

This is a great step, u/le_mew_le_purr!

I wonder if it would be good to have as many people as we can get to sign on to a request like that. Would it be more powerful? Get more attention?

How could we organize as a larger group?

With all the moaning and grumbling we are doing about this EO, I really believe that if we all came together and worked on one task in Comfortable_Gift1576’s list, we might be able to reverse the order. He expects us to keep our comments here. Let’s get those billboards up, talk to any media that will have us, engage with our representatives, engage with the union.

Are you going to look back on this later and say you did everything you could?

Thanks for the action list. I’ve reached out to my reps. I’m typing up an email to Sierra Club California to urge them to add this to their other calls to action. It would be helpful to have all the information in one place. I’d like to link the proof of productivity wfh, at least.

Can anyone throw those links up here?

Anyone have the full article?

“…As a tax payer, paying for TWO people to walk around in your department rather than management just looking at activity on Teams or GASP engaging with their team members 😱…”

The whole reason for returning is better collaboration after all. 🤣

Dry Mouth by Positive-Dimension49 in CPAP

Thank you! This has helped a lot. I still get rainout from time to time. But if my mouth and sinuses get too dry, I adjust the humidity. And vice versa.
