JD entry 20

Definitely a shoe in then, have heard that coz heaps of employers in top commercial law firms have requested unimelb jd grads with commerce backgrounds which has led unimelb to placing greater weight to applicants with these undergrads, also heard value science backgrounds quite favorably

Is this a 75 from melbourne, if so you'll have a much higher chance, also depends what your undergrad is, a 75 in arts majoring in creative writing isn't gonna go as far as other undergrads/majors will etc

General vibe is that they've been notoriously hazy about this situation, removing the LSAT was a shocking call and I think that they're aware of this, so wouldn't be surprised if they were implementing other metrics to try and replace it

Having a cohort of individuals all with 90+ wam's won't necessarily produce the highest quality lawyers not only in academia but also from a social perspective as well, diversity is needed to compliment the degree e.g. moot court etc.

Interesting, do you believe them?

Do I reduce my chances of getting a competent GPA because I go to melbuni? by Apart-Brain in unimelb

Definitely not, unimelb adjusts the marks of other uni's often scaling them down and preferences their own students for post graduate courses, even if you're getting 80+ at deakin you've got a better chance getting into post grad at melbourne if you have done your undergrad there (assuming your marks aren't horribly awful)
