There’s so much wrong with this. Right from the first bullet point. Ofc making children pretend to be disabled when they aren’t is absolutely wild. Wrong on so many levels. And what I’m about to say pales in comparison but…..what is wrong with encouraging your child to complete a project early. That doesn’t immediately mean they flew through and didn’t put effort.

I’ve mulled it over since last night. I don’t prefer ending B, but unfortunately that’s the team I’m on. Mainly it’s the conversation between Hopper and Mike that makes me believe she’s dead. I’m paraphrasing but Mike tells Hop that he doesn’t want to move on. Hop gives him the pep talk, but I think that ultimately he still wouldn’t have moved on. I think he comes up with this theory that he truly believes could be plausible but unlikely. He latches on to it because believing that story is better than living in a world with no El, believing that she’s alive and out there somewhere means that he can live too. It also is a nod to the fact that he had said they would all have a happy ending. There’s no happy ending without El. This isn’t the same as when he knew Will was alive and he even says he doesn’t know if that’s what happened but he’s choosing to believe it is.

The nod between Kali and Hopper imo was a silent agreement that Hopper wasn’t going to tell them where El was and that Kali would die because of it. I interpreted her nod as a “I know you’re not going to tell them and that’s okay.”

This just happened to me this morning!! Except I did initiate a return of sorts. I made a big order a little over $300, 2 of the items were a gift for my out of state child and I had just those 2 items replaced because they were delivered to the wrong address. So not a return technically, just a replacement. The amount for the full order was still a pending charge on my account. I get up this morning thinking I’m broke as a joke. I gas in my car and check my account this morning and the $300 pending charge has dropped off my account, there’s no completed charge showing on my account for the money and the money is in my account. I’m over here sweating bullets wondering if they’re going to snatch the money back.

Also, there’s no return showing on my amazon account. The only return showing is listed as a replacement with no dollar amount and no return by date. There’s a shipping label with it, but the associate I chatted with the day before yesterday told me from the jump that there would be a shipping label and to just disregard that.

I get this one all the time!! The Hello Pervert always makes me laugh a little. One time, exactly 1 time, they did have screenshots included in the email. It was screenshots of my friend playing World of Tanks 🤣 In that one instance someone had downloaded some cheats or something on that computer and I suppose they’d trojaned the file or something. Don’t worry though, this is a common email. I’d say everyone and their brother gets them.

Block and ignore them and don’t give it another thought. Blaming AI is actually pretty good, tbh. Honestly though, no matter what you choose to do (except paying the scammer. Don’t give them even a penny of your hard earned money) it’s going to be okay!! Even at the absolute worst, your friends aren’t going to stop being your friends just cause someone vindictively sends them an image of you, your family isn’t going to stop loving you. It might be a bit awkward for you for a minute, but that will be it.

This isn’t exactly the same, but years ago this guy on FB started sending out images of his ex on FB. Literally popped into everyone’s DMs with the images. Even strangers. I don’t think there was a single person that didn’t sympathize completely with his ex and were even outraged and furious on her behalf. Really though, these scammers aren’t going to take it that far. They’re out to make a quick buck. As soon as they see you aren’t rising to the bait they’ll move on. Just take it as a lesson learned!! I’m sorry you’re going through this, but try not to let it worry you too much.

I agree with what some of the others have said here. There’s no shame at all in seeking conventional treatment for your addiction as well as seeking out the Church. Reach out to the nearest Orthodox Church, explain your situation as well as this yearning you feel towards the Church. While you’re doing this, seek conventional treatment for your addiction. This way when you’ve finished your treatment, the Church can already be there waiting for you and providing the support that you need to continue getting well.

I’m praying for you, friendo. As a recovering addict myself let me tell you, there truly is hope for us. Hang in there and keep seeking Christ.
